I though it would be a soft meringue, but oh no. It exploded and crumbled simultaneously. So i was trying to be professional and cool, juggling a stack of business cards, a programme and a meringue that had disintegrated as it cascaded down my front. I'm sure they will remember me as 'that awful woman who can't eat in company'.
I think that you've just discovered a new diet plan. :rotfl: :rotfl: Only eat messy food in public, either in a large group so EVERYONE can see your disaster, or in a one to one setting where you are desperate to impress the other person. I just wouldn't eat. I can remember interviews which extended over lunchtimes, ordeal by grated cheese sandwich and squishy cream cake. Safer not to eat at all ,I always thought.0 -
Hi guys, can I join again, please don't shout at me
.
I've joined twice now and been dragged away by some heavy life stuff--the last 3 years have been very, very, tough, one thing after another.
Anyway I'd love to join again if you'll have me,
I'll leave it there and wait for responses cos I got told off by a couple of people last time I dropped out,
here's hoping, lol, Jay xxAnytime;)0 -

... lol nise, you could well be onto a new plan there. Whenever I used to grab a fried egg sandwich from a greasy spoon when out and about I'd always ask for the egg to be well cooked "So that I could eat it rather than wear it". KPC, if it's any consolation, MrsA is much much worse than you could ever be - five minutes into every (and I mean every) meal comes the exclamation "Ohhhh, I'm a spanner, I am" as she's dropped something down her.
Jay - welcome to our bunchWho told you off? Name and shame lol

Afternoon everyone
I had to prove to myself that my 5km run wasn't a fluke so I've been out again this morning and done another oneThis time I was on the roads instead of around the park, but I didn't like it much (narrow twisty lanes with no pavement), and my mp3 player packed up halfway through
So here are my times for the 5 times I've attempted this now:21/05/2008 Not timedOnly the last two have been a full run all the way round
04/06/2008 0:38:48
10/06/2008 0:34:56
17/06/2008 0:32:23
19/06/2008 0:30:55At the moment it still feels like a challenge but as soon as it gets a little easier (it does get a little easier, right?) then I'll look at combining it with the swimming and cycling. I still want to get my run time under 30 mins too
Need a flatter course less risky from traffic
And a new mp3 player

I just saw an advert for weight loss on tv (here in Japan) and the BEFORE weight is 54 kilos "Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0

PLG - 54kg is considered overweight in Japan? :eek:0

indeed it is! The advert features 2 "overweight" adults - a guy and a girl. The guys before weight is 60 kilos - the girls 54 kilos! They work out on some gym equipment (which the advert is selling) and after a few months the girl loses 6 kilos, the guy 10 kilos!
It's all a matter of perspective I guess :rotfl:"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
