Mudbath I was just wondering where you were whilst cleaning the bathroom. Hope your DD gets some sleep and is feeling better soon. Earache is a wicked pain.

So long as you weren't cleaning the toilet when you thought of me!!!! :rotfl:

Solway - nice to see you around again.
Soappie - hope you got to work ok.
G&B - fab about the uni place, woooooooooooooooooooo!
Pigpen - that's scary about it being shingles. Me and dd had it a few years ago. I always thought children couldn't get it but apparently they can but it doesn't hurt like it does in adults.

DD still off school but so much better if rather deaf. School has just phoned to say if she feels up to it she can go in for the class school photo at 1030 and she wants to. School is literally a 1 minute walk away so I think i'll take her in.

I've realised our holiday is only 11 weeks away:rotfl: . I've never been to stay with my sister in the summer and it's going to be very hot so I need to do my healthy eating with avengence. I lost 3lbs last week just eating sensibly. My aim is 2lbs a week and we'll see how that goes.

I guess i'd better check the list now :rotfl: . Hope you all have a brilliant day :rotfl: xx

The offers i've had are from HW, i have applied to Edinburgh too. They havent got back to me yet, i would prefer to go to Edinburgh because it is on the right side of the city for me. But Heriot Watt has a very good reputation for science and engineering, HW was my back up if Edinburgh turned me down.
I was surprised how quickly HW got back to me, i only applied about 10 days ago:o Either way though i will be a proper student come september, i'm dead excited, its very sad:rotfl:

Wow, that was quick. And it isnt sad!! (Its maybe sad that we are all v excited on your behalf :D ) HW has a great reputation. Thats where Jill went. It will be a bit of a treck for you, so fingers crossed Edin gets back to you soon :T

Morning all. Weather is terrible here too so I think I'll have to use the TD for some things 'cause the airer and radiators are full. I've dropped the kids at school-thank goodness they were driving me mad yesterday, and had my hair cut. Just going to do a bit of website work and then I'm flying.
    Have a great day.

soappie - hope your commute went ok today xx

DD is off school today, sore throat, coughing all night so the both of us are shattered! I really need to do some studying as I have an interview on Thursday. Starting to feel sick about it already

I'm starting to look into possibilities of renting out the house as the housing market has ground to a halt here. I've only had 2 viewers in total. Apparently the rental market is very strong where I stay (probably because everyone is selling and moving into rented property) so getting a tenant shouldnt be a problem, just getting the mortgages sorted out. Ho hum. No problem then eh?

    Right, better crack on

    Morning all

Left the washing in the basket for a couple of hours because the weatherman said by 10 am it would be blue skies and sunshine. Right now it's raining harder than ever so I've given in and hung it up indoors.

Vacuumed right through downstairs and did the stairs. Did all the polishing yesterday.

Watched Corrie (does that count as flying?;))

Wandered up the road and found my emptied wheelie bin. Funny how it's never outside the house.

My dog is 13 today, hope she doesn't turn into a stroppy teenager :D She's got a cuddly elephant to go with her other toys. She was very pleased:)

Hope your dd is feeling better soon skintscotslass, i've still got mine off too. Good luck with the interview on Thursday.

I've found out the £32 charge on my business account was because a cheque didn't clear until the day after a direct debit went out. Phoned up abbey and asked them to waive the fee and they said yes!!!!! Just shows it's worth asking. I defintely need to keep an eye on my banking having not worked properly since March 1st.

Meant to say, I saw the consultant yesterday and he's really pleased with my hand. He's now saying my main problem was my thumb rather than my wrist all along as breaks heal better than tendons. Now, remind me, didn't I say it was thumb from the start....bless him! He reckons I can start using my thumb in a very limited way and maybe start working with that hand at the beginning of August. I'm on holiday for two weeks in August so i'm aiming to start back in September when the children go back to school. Yeahhhhhh! xx

Just popping on while I have a coffee. I didn't get a phone call this morning, so no supply work today. Yesterday I was gardening, and got pretty wet, and then after school had to take DS2 to buy new trainers, so home late and too tired to fly.

It was really dreary and grey earlier, so I finished the kitchen, to about Level 3, but couldn't be bothered to do the windows, and also the livingroom and hall and stairs, to about Level 2.5 - again, haven't done the glass and windows!

I have done a bit of 'relocation, relocation', so piles of stuff from the stairs in the rooms they belong in. I've also paid the balance on one week of the holiday, and emailed the other gite to see if they have a secure website to pay the balance of the other week. In 3 weeks I shall be in Spain for a mini break with DD and friends, and in 7 weeks, in France! Hope the weather improves, and I do get some work before the end of term, as I won't earn anything during the summer holiday.

The sun's now come out, so I'm off to the allotment!

G&B - fantastic news re uni!!

mudbath - hugs to DD - and great news about your hand!
