Tip for bachs - if you are worried of having alchy breath take it in a small glass of water (like a third of a glass), let it sit in the mouth a while before swallowing!
No no no, that's no good. Use the drops then use chocolate to get rid of the smell (TBH noone else seems to notice)
Solway, not that I am nosey but I did notice your FB changed from single....so I had wondered. As long as you're happy :)
Summermoon, hope you are ok, sounds like it's been hectic for you.
Mudbath a hug ((hug)) for you and your DD.
g&b no you don't have to be mature!! What soappie said reminds me of when we worked with students from Durham Uni, some of the lads used to come over to our flat, first thing they did was cuddle my son who was a baby at the time, they just missed being with a family. Lovely lads. They were all from well off families, had all the latest gadgets, cars provided by parents etc but just missed being at home.
Dusty I sometimes think pigpen has cameras too!!!

Managed to get a 3 week extension on the assignment, tutor offered 3 as that's the max they can allow then see if I can get it in earlier, just means I can hopefully do better at it, rather than rush through both (CMA due in next week which they can't give extra time on) He was really nice actually, very understanding. Bit of a chatter box however, thought my phone battery was going to go flat :rotfl:

Just chatting to a friend on MSN, she moved away a while back, worried about her as she's not happy. Wish she'd just come home in a way, but I think she'll see that as the 'I told you so' from her family etc

Spent some of the evening studying, some of it hunting for second hand caravan stuff, trying to reduce the cost of my list with having to get it all ASAP. I have put a washer load in, did the bathroom earlier, bins soaking coz it ponged!
One day I might be more organised...........

    Evening all

Very busy day at work today so a shock to the system to be back.

Thanks for all your comments about the old boy, I was really chuffed he made it but still forgot to leave my name for him - doh. Made me miss my old job tho, still wish every day that I could go back to it - moves on quickly

Passes honey and lemon to denise for sore throat

    good luck to lil monkey

Shell, well done on the smaller jeans and dont worry about muffin tops they come in all sizes. My kids call me that and I'm an 8/10!

GnB well done on the offer, wish I'd got the guts (and could afford to) to go to uni, trouble is I'd have to go for a paramedic degree and wouldnt be able to get the old firm to take me back so would never be able to finish it :rotfl:

michelle - I mixed fed both of mine from 8 weeks to 5 months as I went back to work. Neither suffered so go for whatever works for both of you.

luby lou - can you not get his work to pay the charges after all its their fault, or speak to the bank. If they know its going to happen they are usually pretty good and can do a temporary increase on OD

Hi summer, sorry to hear about nana, and nice to see you back

hugs to hev and mudbath (for DD)

nicki, my DD loves getting her own meals (she's 9 now) and has been for about 18 months now (Only occasionally when I'm still around :rotfl: !!!!) Usually its a salad of ham cheese salad stuff and chopped up fruit.

Solway nice to see you and good luck with mr messy again

Evening one and all - i got a bit sidetracked.

Sam has been a delight since the bottle at midday- he has slept all day, waking for 2 feeds, and done a really grim nappy that required a bath  and binning of the clothes he had on - a really old vest and babygro, and we have about 30 so i wasn't handwashing to save it when he will probably only wear it another once.

DH cooked dinner because i was feeding, and he fed for nearly an hour so he is nice and content again.

I have then done some online surveys, and i was debating doing some ironing, but then again, i will need to do something with my time when DS1 is at nursery tomorrow. I will pop upstairs in a minute and find him out an outfit, and sort myself out for tomorrow.

My plan will be to get some housework done tomorrow, including making my butternut squash soup finally before everything goes even more manky than it already is.

    Need to do tomorrow:
    • [strike]drop DS1 at nursery, pay bill[/strike]
    • [strike]pop into work briefly so they can meet Sam[/strike]
    • get towels out of TD - fold, put away
    • [strike]sort out the fridge - write a small shopping list[/strike]
    • [strike]go to morrisons - buy stuff on shopping list[/strike]
    • [strike]put shopping away[/strike]
    • [strike]make butternut squash soup[/strike]
    • hoover pantry and kitchen, LR/DR, hall, porch, stairs, landing, 3 x bedrooms and bathroom
    • [STRIKE]at least a HHI[/STRIKE] managed 20 mins before sam grizzled at me, will try for more later
    • file some paperwork away
    • bathroom clean
    • ring CTC about the 2 packs they sent out  to check they have the right info again.
    • pick DS1 up from nursery
    • not spend all day at the computer
    • replace moisture trap on DS1's window sill
    extras:
    • washed up baby bottle, ran steriliser made up 2 bottles for if needed
    • last nights washing up away
    • washed up breakie and lunch dishes
    • fed both cats
    • put away some clothes folded the other day
More than enough to get me started. House is grim, and don't i know it, and i rather foolishly said a friend from school who i haven't seen in um at least 10 years could come round some point this week, and she hasn't said when yet. Need to make sure we are just cluttered and not dirty.

If you haven't eaten all of those chocs kaz i'll have one - yummy!

solway we need more gossip than that about mr messy ;)

mudbath hope DD is feeling more like herself tomorrow.

Anyway, best get on before Sam wakes again for feeding. Want to do a couple of bits before then.

    Michelle, x

OMG it's 10.30 already..sigh..I think I've level 3d the bathroom (too lazy to c&p the list and do strikings) then I got sidetracked with my broken homehub and started meddling in things I know nowt about like installing software, Phonecall to Mum and a long one from my lovely S-i-L and here I am.

Mr messy gossip for michelle! It wasn't entirely his messyness that made me break things off in February but the fact that he continued phoning me every evening for chats and meeting up for tea once a week gave me a chance to have a think about him in a whole new light. Of course by the time I'd made my mind up about things he wasn't so sure. It's been slowly slowly for a few weeks but he did come to my Mum's for Sunday dinner and experience the chaos of the extended family and I had his ex-stepson to stay this weekend to help his ex partner out ..complicated enough yet?? He's on my FB page and doesn't know he's mr messy and he's still listed as single Lil_me!

It's really lovely to be back on here and I'm sorry not to have caught up with all the news properly. I'll be back tomorrow after a swim after work ( I WILL get my money's worth from the gym fees).
Have a grand Tuesday whatever you're doing.

I've got college in the morning though I know it would be more productive if I stayed at home and actually sew'd my curtain.. I'm not using the cruddy machines at college.. I do have a few other bits I should be doing.. guess I could do those?!

I want to get some trousers run up for Tiddles.. she is running short again. I want to do my sister a peg bag as well.. or rather she wants me to do her one.

I guess I 'could' drag my machine for an outing... I guess... I'll go find the uniforms.

Apparently the 'virus' that killed hubbys aunt was shingles.. would you believe that? how bizarre.. anyway I hope that is everyones sadness done for the next few months at least I think we have all had more than enough drama and all deserve a week off!! (from the drama.. it is almost like Coronation Street!!.. not from the flying)
