O Crikey - up to page 6 already! no time to read but want to post what I've done to keep myself on track:-
    • Been to work all morning
    • washed all floors downstairs execept living room as that is carpeted
    • dusted living room, kitchen, hall, landing, our bedroom
    • swept bedroom floor (no carpet)
    • spoke to DD1 on phone
    • made rhubarb and apple crumble
    • started dinner prep (roast chicken, veg, yorkshire pud and stuffing)
    • 2 loads washing done
    • gave tumble dryer away on freecycle
    • been to local shops for fruit and veg
    • done 2 x valued opinions
    • went short (but brisk!) walk with DD2 to get some fresh air into her
Right - off to make nurse appointment for me and order hay fever prescription for DS2.

Hope everyone OK - am going to try and read thread through later but also have to do accounts for archery club (committee meeting tomorrow) and MUST do some online banking, filing and bill paying for myself.

Does anyone else cook and eat the outside leaves from cauliflower or is it just me? mentioned this at work this morning and was almost laughted out of the office...but it's food right? so why waste it?

    Evening all

G&B well done :T:T:T you'll enjoy being a 'mature' student. I know I did! I ran away to university after my first divorce when the kids were v. little (age 5 and 3). I was able to get a housing association flat which was far superior to student digs. Consequently, I had no end of baby sitters from the 'normal age' students in my classes. All they wanted in return was lots of coffee, hot water for baths and the ability to put the heating on along with an occasional roast dinner.

Have just had the bizarrest telephone conversation with Nat West. They are advertising a business account which is supposed to go live today but you can't apply for it yet! Am just about to post the gorey details on the bank accounts thread. Then I'll do some flying - already have one load of washing in the machine.

    Well done G&B :T:T

Not done much today - been busy shuffling files etc on the computer :o Not too worried though as the house is looking pretty alright anyway ;)

I have put the breadmaker on for the first time - cheating and using a mix and only making a 1lb white loaf but we'll see how it turns out ;) I've also let DD make tea on her own (under supervision) for the first time - only pre-sliced ham and some bagged salad and I put the Caesar dressing on but she did it mainly on her own and she's really chuffed with herself :D She's even more chuffed that I let "her" make me a cup of coffee (I held the kettle with her just to be sure, and only just put enough water in for 2 cups ;)).

Next job is to supervise DD doing the remainer of her Brownie Cooks badge - just going to go and check on the website to make sure she's not going to end up doing Advanced Cook badge work ;):o I know what a perfectionist she (and I) can be :rotfl::rotfl:
