No, I did not realise this, Where did you find this out? I feel as if I'm back in school being reprimanded by the teacher for being naughty!
I innocently thought that if I put it in capitals it would stand out and readers might spot it better. I have just joined, and don't know how to put an 'enquiry' or a 'post' in and thought I would just reply someone else's posting. By writing or 'quoting' what you have written YOU come across as being a precocious spoilt brat, I wonder how old you are? You must be rather young!

What a nice person you seem to be..........! It is well known that to write in capitals is classed as "shouting". Perhaps you should look on other posts and see numerous times where it has been pointed out to other people and who have in fact apologised because they didn't realise. I was merely pointing out this fact to you and quite nicely I thought too because sometimes with your obvious attitude shown after your above post you won't get many answers if you speak like that.

As to my age - I have grown up children but how glad I am that my offspring have enough manners to realise that you don't speak to people regardless of age the way you have just spoken so rudely to me!

As you have just joined the forum perhaps you should learn some manners if you want further help in future. We are a very helpful crowd throughout this board but can do without an attitude like yours especially after just two posts.

Apologise? Yes I accept your apology.

Both Lighter life & Cambridge if you follow the programme & maintenance programme you will lose the weight. If you then continue with your "maintenance" you will maintain your new weight...if you go back to eating the things you used to eat in the quantities you used to eat them you will put weight back on - for the very same reason you put it on in the frst place.

With both plans you can take the opportunity to think about what you used to have & why you used to have it- then once you have reached your goal weight do something about it. I always tell my customers they can do several things once they are at target...stand on your scales weekly & if you have put on a few pounds get it off right away, use some clothes so you know if you are putting it on (not always great as you can put on a lot & still fit in things), do 5 & 2 - ie 5 good days & have more unhealthy things at the weekend (don't deprive yourself if you like a curry every other week for example), finally some customers weigh every 6 weeks & get 1 CD item for each day to keep them on goal.

If you follow either plan you will lose weight quickly, if you are several stone (or more) overweight the thought of losing 1 or 2 lbs a week on some other plan seems impossible, where a stone a month after the first 4-6 weeks (1st 4-6 weeks is a lot more) is doable. I have one lady who has lost over 10st (over half her body weight) this would have been virtually impossible any other way.

Ive lost over 8 stone since Jan doing WW and am on track to hit 9 by Xmas :)

I think every diet has its advantages & disadvantages. The secret is finding the right one for you.

Why not have a look at the 'Lose Weight' thread here, or another site I use is www.minimins.com they cover every diet under the sun there :)

She started mid march (& is happy for me to tell the world about her!)

I agree with Starlight that you have to find the right diet for you & that mini's is a fab website that will give you all the +ve & -ve info on every diet from the dieters themselves.

I've lost my weight through eating better (and less), and exercising more. Rather than paying extra out for special diet products, programs or groups, I've saved a lot of money through reduced grocery/food bills. If you can go it alone, there is money to be saved. Good luck whatever method you choose.

    Pepe -

Lipotrim is similar to LighterLife but without the counselling. It's £30 per week from some GPs and pharmacies. There are just 4 shake flavours to choose from. I lost over 4.5 stones on it and am keeping it off. You do need to do some research and reading on it to make sure you can do it becuase there's nothing more demoralising than "failing" on these difficult diets. The refeeding is the most important part, IMO.

Don't worry about SHOUTING - we're not all born knowing these things!

One of myfriends lost over 11 stone on lighter life a couple of years ago,and she was in the magazines etc and feted as a minor celebrity. Now sadly 2 years on she has gained 6 stone again, eating carefully, and is ashamed to walk down the street, as people are commenting on how she's piling it back on again. She reckons it's ruined her metabolism.I have no idea if this is possible, but she vows she is eating carefully:confused::confused:

Oh good grief - your poor friend. I have heard and read that this can happen - must be some truth in it I suppose. Perhaps I'd better go and join Tesco E diets or something.
