HBOS shares

hi Steven
i would be tempted to hold on to them unless they sell their australian Bank west set up
reason for this i live in Brisbane now and bankwest will make a substantial difference in profits over the next 12 months for the parent group
bank west has just starting setting up in queensland and is already taking market share in a very much expanding financial services arena in australia
with an expansion of financial services in australia in general coupled with bank west aggressively competing with the big 4 over here i believe this should flow through to group profits
i believe there is plenty of opportunity trading shorterm but would keep in mind long term potential
lets hope they dont start selling off arts of the business0 -

Hbos is not included but I figure its related to trends effecting the price
This expired last week. HBOS was not listed because to the best of my knowledge it does not have a US ADR listing so naming it would be pointless.Hope for the best.....Plan for the worst!

Ok thanks, I did hear about someone shorting fnm so that figures. I do hear americans talking about lloyds trading so I presume that is listed there somewhere unlike hbos
I think it may have applied because the backing company was american based so they could not take these bets0 -
