  • One example of product resell are the muffins. They're £3.99 for a tray of 12 and the muffins are massive. Lovely as well.

There's a number of coffee shops in Glasgow that sell them for £1.50 or £2 a shot. Now that's profit.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

I've also often wondered how traders make a profit on Costco stuff. Some of it really is cheap for example 16 paracetamol 12p but mostly just good value stuff at retail.

Maybe it really is caterers, I've seen people with shopping carts piled up with a dozen of those giant sacks of basmati rice for example.

We had a rep in the other day as there is one opening soon in Milton Keynes. Along with the blanket offer to all Local Government employees (us) the promotion included a £10 voucher (for the new store) when you join up. They could also come and do a mass enrolment in the workplace meaning you would not have to show any i.d.

Rosie - do you work for MK Council , as I do, but not at Saxon court / Civic offices , so we rarely get to hear about special offers.
I might try a few phonecalls monday morning !!

I've been told this more than once by Costco staff, however, I have yet to test them out, and in all honesty, if the product had given me good service, I doubt I would. :)

Just like their Scones, etc. At a recent Special needs art exhibition the volunteers were doing the usual cakes n Scones n tea n coffee and it was almost 100% Costco cakes. ;)
