Thanks in advance
You don't need to own a shop/business. You can also join if you meet the following criteria:
"You are eligible for Individual membership by being employed in, or retired from, one of the following groups:
Banking/Finance
Civil Service
Education
Fire and Rescue
Insurance
Local Government
Medical
Police Force
Solicitor or Barrister
Or by holding a recognised professional qualification (such as pharmacist, dentist or media press card holder).”
The fee for Individual membership is £25.00 plus VAT, but this does include an additional card for a second person (spouse, parent etc).
My husband is a Software Engineer (works for Rolls Royce) and he joined without any problems - he just needed a recent utility bill and wage slip. You can also get a non-member into Costco with your membership card, but you have to be present at the same time (your photo is on the card to prove that you are who you say you are!)
Hope that helps0 -
and dont forget that when u buy an electrical item its guaranteed for as long as u stay a unbroken member

We boughts some phones from Costco but after nearly a year they became faulty. I phoned cutomer services up and explained that I couldn't find the receipt and they said it did not matter. They could look the item up on their systems and then gave me a full refund even though I didn't have a receipt, we did have the packaging though.
What other store would do that?0 -

I think there was another thread about Costco customer service/refunds etc. It said they give refunds no quibble/no questions. I think a Costco manager even posted on there...they reckon that giving refunds no quibble brings the customer back time and again.Owned by [STRIKE]4[/STRIKE] 4 cats: 2 x Maine coon cross males, 1 x Pixie Bob male and[STRIKE] 2[/STRIKE] 1 x Norwegian Forest male....cute!

If they have it on their computer system that you bought it from there you could try. No harm done. They're pretty easy with refunds.0 -
I bought my niece a G-shock watch from there for Christmas the year before last. I bought it around October/November, gave it her for Christmas obvioulsy and it broke after around 10 months. She only told me it had broke after the following Christmas but I took it back to Costco and explained what had happened, they checked on their records that I had bought it from them as I had no reciept by that time and gave me a full refund, no questions asked, despite it being around 16 months old according to their records.
I have a relative who has returned a TAG watch costing over £800 on two seperate occasions, again no questions asked.
Top marks to Costco for their returns policy.0 -
But with all these refunds how do they make money. Yes they are incredibly busy but two £800 TAG watches refunded with no questions asked?0
