Morning everyone. I'm home alone today...,might nip into town later and meet eldest DD, other DD at her dad's and OH is out all day.
Had a good and cr*p day on thursday, good in that myself and the girls went to Drayton Manor with a friend and her DD -I even went on G force, shockwave and storm force 10. I am normally a wimp and don't do roller coasters-we all had a great time. OH had a busy day and it was not as good as mine... (big sigh)
((((((hugs)))))) to smoky and pen-pin and everyone else who needs or wants one. Right off to make coffee

    Morning folks
Been up since 7.30 - I know a lot of have are up waaaay before that though!
Waiting for OH to get up so I can strip the bed and wash it.
Plans for today - meeting youngest SS who is 14 tomorrow. We're taking him and his friend for lunch at an Italian restaurant. His choice - yippee!! Off to see good old Indy at the cinema - that is MY choice! I loved the first ones so am thrilled about this one.
Tomorrow is our anniversary so we'll go out for a lunch somewhere but we can't decide yet. Might be Italian again, good old roast dinner somewhere or else a pub lunch by the sea and have some wonderful fish.
Might do some gardening today - grass needs cutting (OH's job) and I'll do some weeding.
My tomato plants (kitchen windowsill) are doing well - I've nipped out the top as both were growing tall (diff varieties though). I think I usually do this - anyone know if it's right thing to do? Quite a few tomatoes appearing now. The salad leaves are coming on and I have a munch of them when I'm at the kitchen sink - not enough to put on a plate yet and there won't be if I don't stop eating them.
Last couple of days off before college starts again - have clothes washed for the week but need to iron some of them. Need also to menu plan as I'll be tired and just need feeding immediately when I get in.
    Have a great weekend everyone

Redruby - Lidl's do lots of sea food in their frozen bit, don't know how good it is, but they had scallops the other day and always seem to have crab, looks fairly good value.

    Thanks mummy,

My nearest Lidl is about 15 miles away  , there is talk about them building on in my town which would be great :T , next time I am there I will get some and try them,

    Thanks

    Morning everyone :p

We're having a BBQ this afternoon so here's hoping the sun stays out! Went to Tesco last night for food and they had NO buns so gonna have to walk all the way back there today

Had my friends kids stay over last night as she was going out so it ended up being a late night on the Wii but at least I've had a mini lie in today so I'm feeling all refreshed! They aren't even up yet so it must have tired them out! avsjldghdjlsa < cat jumping on the keyboard to say hello to everyone (or possibly to tell me to get off the computer and feed her!)

Anyhoo, off now to wake OH up and get the house in a fit state for visitors, have a good day everyone

    Morning all

Have been up since 6am, as I wanted to go for a run before OH went to work. Washing is on the line, DW emptied and beds changed. Need to clean this house in a bit, it's gross!

Not much planned today. Need to pot on my spinach beet and chinese leaves. Also have ironing to do (oops I swore). Will pop over and see Mum and Dad in a bit as I've got some pepper and lettuce plants for them. Dinner is baked potatoes when I've got them from the farmshop. No idea about lunch yet.

Hugs to all who need one. PENPIN hope you are feeling better today. BETH hope you are ok after your op.

    Have a good day all.

    Morning all

off in a bit for a lunch date - decided to be domestic goddess and bring them all co!!!! ice but have had a disaster. The first lot - well the pink layer set but the white layer poured out of the tin. Tried again this morning but this time it was the other way round - sigh. Of course all I have to do is reach into the freezer for some home baked delicacy or other but sadly that only works in the imaginery world where I am organised and cool in a crisis

exoh off in a bit to sort out the glasses - you can tell it's an emergency by the amount of faffing he's been doing all morning

    have agood day all

Well good morning all, reckon I've surpassed myself by making my 'thrown away' soup. Named because I would have previously thrown everything away that I've put in it.

So it seems that the transformation is nearly complete, I have been 'old styled', in the best possible way.;)

So made soup with bacon, on the turn so usually would have chucked it, mis-shappen onion also on the turn, had to pull a few layers away to use. Split peas which have been soaking for a number of days, maybe 3/4 can't remember, starting to ferment.:D

2 leftover baked potatoes from last nights tea, would have binned, composted or given to chickens but not now.;)

Carrots that were about to make their own way out of the cupboard, some creative chopping there in order to get the usable bits.

Some veg stock and Roberts your mother's brother.

Oh and after I'd been cooking it a while on the cooker, I had a thought, tah daaaahhh, slow cooker, cheaper to use, leave it all day.

So I bunged it all in there and now I'm on here.

Not got anything specific planned for today other than to try and switch energy suppliers.

Hope everyone else is having a good day so far. xx

Hi all - just a quickie from me because there is a lot going on here and I can't seem to find a good half an hour to sit at the computer.

(((Hugs))) to all in need and will try and catch up later.

Weather is fantastic here, by the way - hope it is for everyone else!

See ya when I've got more time!
