We wanted to drive up and just spend the day ... but from reading other people's posts it seems an overnight stay is more the thing.

Also, I wanted to use my clubcard vouchers (hope I haven't left it too late) for a trip in August. Is it likely to be manic ????

Sorry for the stupid Q but never been, and don't know anyone who has either ???

I guess it depends how far you have to travel. For us it would be a 4-5 hour journey so a day trip is out of the question!

If you order your Tesco vouchers online, they usually only take a few days to arrive.

    August - school hols - need I say more?!?:rotfl:

  • Just found the thread!

Without reading it (might have been answered) could someone from Alton Towers tell me what the quietest day of the week is please? Presumably Monday?

And is it packed every single day of the summer holidays?

  • Hi, my Dad is registered disabled. If we were to go to Alton Towers could my Mum go in as his carer? So it would be £17 for both of them? She's not registered as his carer, would this be a problem? As he has arthritis, could he take 2 people in as carers?

I've heard about special access passes? Would the whole family get these as it would be a bit silly for just my parents to have them! x

hazel- i went in october last year with my two children and hubby and didnt find the park too rammed. We had a fantastic time and would recomend the laser show later on.

The waterpark this weekend cost us £36 for 2 adults , 2 kids - I think it was £14 adult - check the website. Its a good half day out esp in warmer weather when the outdoors is open.
