Alton Towers - Ask Me!

  • This might be a stupid question! I'm going to Alton Towers this weekend and we're staying in the Hotel (its a Hen Weekend) but we're going straight to the park on Saturday. I would like to take my own lunch as I have recently gone onto a non-dairy diet (health reasons nothing else - I really miss cheese!! ) and I just thinking about what to do with my lunch while I'm on the rides:eek: ?
Would it be best to leave it in the car and pop back when I want it? Can you go out of the park to the car and back in again?? Or just take it with me round the park?? It's been that long since I've been that I can't remember what its like, but I'm sure you're not allowed bags on the rides!!

    Hello,
I am planning on going to Alton towers in August. 2 Adults 2 Children. I have no vouchers, no tickets, no passes etc but want to know the cheapest way to get in and stay at a nearby hotel for 2 nights. would it be a good idea to buy 2 for one tickets etc from ebay or are they a rip off? Is it better to book the hotel seperately fro the Alton Towers deal. I know I am a pain in the rear but we are also looking at thorpe Park for the same. Any advise greatfully received.

There are travelodges at Uttoxeter and Rugeley, also Stafford by the M6 and Premier Travel Inns x2 @Stafford. - All only a short drive away. Travelodge are doing rooms from £19 at the min so worth checking them out.

There is a tesco not far from the A50 at Uttoxeter if you are on a budget and wanting to picnic, also a Frankie and Bennys next to it.
    Have fun.

    - jetcat - well all u will have to do when purchasing your tickets is say i want a disabled ticket plus two careers as long as u sound like u know what ur on about there should be no problem. The only thing i am unsure about is the fact you have no proof of disabilty which is what the staff need to issue u the queue jumping passes although im sure if you get a docters letter or similar this sholud be fine! Hope this helped!!!

    - Dobiesmon -
Your son would pay the £17.50 and also be able to have two careers in at the same rate!

    - korkyb - firstly mid october will be quite busy as it close to school holidays, the walkers and brittrips vouchers are the same thing basically and allow half price tickets the best way i would say to do is convert your tesco vouchers and use them on the first day that you visit and then on your way out of your first day visting return to where the entrance tickets are sold ask for a come back tomorrow ticket which will cost £8 per person adult or child. as for food i only work on the entrance tickets section so am a little unsure of the food prices bt i am aware that the mcdonalds pizza hut etc charge more in the park than in the shops i would say that thes places are however the cheapest, otherwise i would take ur own food!!

    - davetrousers - parking is free show the car park attendant ur card

    - meester - im afraid you have picked a rather bad time to visit, school are officially on there 6 weeks holidays weekends are the most busiest time!!! sorry!

    - lindab15 - i am pretty sure the answer is no bt by all means try to use them!

    - hazel1975 - october avoid!!!! its the busiet time for two reasons, with it being haleoween th park puts on wat is called terror month so its packed full of people for tours of towers etc plus the school holidays, the hotel also rarely has offers so i would be highly doubtful of any at its busiet time

    - jackieblack - yes £8 for adults and kids, permanent, yes it still counts and you can do that i think also there is another ticket that u are ale to buy which allows you to return to the park any day i think dont quote me only think that this is £14!

    - fatrollie - im sorry i do not know waterpark admission i work on the park not the hotel sorry.

    - Billy the fish - sorry about this i know how annoying it must be but alton towers can get in trouble for it, its copyright and the staff are told to wave there arms in order to runi there pic as for the rudeness that is unacceptable

    - louised - tell the staff almost 4, therefore free ticket

    - borodiva - disabled pluss careers will get the wristbands to jump queues

    - Flux_capacitor - do not buy them off ebay rip off, all you need to do is either take advice from people below ooor you can go to tesco do a shop for over £10 and get a voucher

    - owey - yes for the drink, no offer like that on food and carp park is £4

    - DizzieLizzie - take sarnies in park with you in a bag waste of time goin to fetch them
