    Hi
Can I please just check , my son is reg disabled and gets dla so I am his reg carer so what would the cost be , who pays the £17 as it would only be my son going on the rides.

as far as i understand it, you are your son would both pay the £17 - as it is the entrance fee. it makes no difference whether or not you go on rides? - i think that is correct - it was the last time i went, though that was not as disabled/carers etc.

i hope someone will correct me if wrong!

    Hi

Planning to visit Alton Towers during the week of 20th October (midweek, probably Wed/Thu).

Hoping for 2 consecutive days (2 Adults & 2 children 8 & 6) and not sure what is cheapest route to go.

    I have:
    • Tesco Clubcard Vouchers (not converted yet).
    • 1/2 price vouchers (2 Adult & 2 Child) from multipack of walkers crisps.
    • "Brittrips" codes also on back of walkers vouchers.
To be honest the Walkers vouchers did confuse me as they have 2 Adult and 2 Child 1/2 price Vouchers for attractions (including Alton Towers) on one side and BritTrips codes on the other side where you have to mess about on a website to get the same thing ?? Have I missed something ??

    Thanks for any advice.

p.s. This is to be a "budget" trip so any advice of eating cheaply while visiting AT would also be appreciated.
Was it really "everybody" that was Kung Fu fighting ???

I have a Merlin Annual Pass, do I still have to pay to park?
    .....

  • davetrousers - as you are a Merlin Pass holder, you do not have to pay for parking. When you exit, show your Merlin card to the attendent at the barrier and he will open it for you.

We are going to go for a weekend either this month or next. Which weekends will be busy, and which will be quiet?

Can you use standard Burger King / Pizza Hut / KFC money-off or two-for-one vouchers at their outlets at Alton Towers ?

Although haven't looked to see what's going at the moment......

Daughter going with a school trip tomorrow and have already paid full-ish price for the trip+coach, without adding to the potential bankruptcy by subsidising all the food she'll want for a full day (not cool to take your own food on a school trip, apparently:cool: !!)

    Thanks !

Great timing! have spent the last hour trying to work out what to do

DS has a merlin pass and I am about to send off for one for me.
Am considering a short break in Oct Half Term - am I mad to consider this?

Was considering the sunday 26th/monday 27th but realise that it will probably be heaving

As we still need to buy a park ticket for hubbie I cant get a quote for the hotel and entry ticket

Are there likely to be any deals for Oct with staying at Splash Landings or is it wishful thinking?

Never been able to afford to go before but now we have our merlin passes from our tesco vouchers I am hoping that we can do it but still on a relative budget.

should we rule out staying on site and look outside?

    any advice appreciated

Right where to start! - sorry havent replied sooner been busy

for the next day u want to go you can buy (on your way out) a come back tomorrow ticket which will cost you £8 each

ickleem, that good to know! I've never heard about this before!
    can I ask afew questions?

Is it £8 each for adults and children?
Is this a temporary special offer or a permanent offer?
Does this still apply if the first day's ticket was a special offer/deal of some kind?
Can you only do this for a second day? what about a third, or even fourth!?

    Thanks

Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end
