Im not an expert on benefits (cant even spell it half the time lol) but i cant see why you have been left high and dry almost so i have to at least ask if you know why?

My OH tried to claim Disability Living Allowance and was refused
He was refused Incapacity Living Allowance because he is self employed and owed some money on his stamps
He tried Job Seekers Allowance and was refused because I work part time and we are in reciept of working and child tax credits

I thought it might be something like that, my Dad was knocked back for DLA because he was £11.50 short on his NI contributions for the year, what a joke the sytem is.

Never the less your income looks low to me so there must be some way it can be topped up, but as i say i dont know enough about the benefits system to say im right there:confused: .

Maybe a post on the relavent section on MSE might help if you havnt done already????
