I give up - there's no hope

I've posted a few times about problems with mortgage re-payments, debt, considering bankruptcy etc, etc
Now, I give up! I am now sat here, waiting day by day for a letter to drop through the door from the mortgage company going for repossesion - I am a sitting duck!!! There is nothing I can do!
I think I've tried every avenue, to try and get us out of debt and keep our home and every time, I have hit a brick wall.
I have stopped paying the creditors, because I simply haven't got any money! I can't pay the mortgage for the same reason
Sorry for the rant here guys, but I'm sinking deeper and deeper into a shell which isn't good for the kids, I have no idea what will happen to us, I am living a nightmare

don't mean to speak out of turn but it seems to me that you could be suffering from depression (speaking form experience here!) have you been to see your doctor? The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about - Oscar Wilde:beer:

Hi, yeah speak to CAB or ring one of the debt charities asap
How much do you owe and have you had a sudden change in circumstances that mean you can no longer pay or are you just struggling due to volume of debts?
Please try not to panic, am sure someone can help you x xMoney doesn't make you happy so I'm skint but cheerful :beer:0 -
Hi
Sorry to hear you feel so down.
Firstly as others have suggested, have you rung CCCS or CAB?
If yes, what did they suggest?
What things have you tried?

Thanks guys, you've got me in tears now (sorry) so this will probably come out as a ramble!
We owe £169,000 on a mortgage, repayments are £1035 a month, we have arrears of 2k and have just missed another month.
We have debts of 40k combined to which I was paying a minimum payment and I had managed to get all of the interest frozen.
OH has been out of work for months, he's not entitled to ANY benefits because I earn £140 a week and we have Tax Credits of £720 a month, we also get child benefit of £169 a month, soon to be reduced as the oldest is almost 18.
We have tried to sell the house to a buy it quick company, but even they won't buy, we have been to the CAB who told us to pay as much as we could afford on the mortgage and wait for one of the creditors to declare one of us bankrupt.
I spoke to a debt charity who advised me that bankruptcy might be the best option as a previous business I worked for as company secretary had passed a debt onto me for 8k and I had been served with a statutory demand, I've been paying these £50.00 a month to avoid bankruptcy.
It's all a mess, I don't want to be bankrupt! I've always paid my debts, it's only since OH has been out of work, I have fallen behind as I've been trying to support the whole family!
Spoke to the mortgage company who were sympathetic but say there is nothing they can do and the case will now be returned to court for repossesion0 -
I don't have any advice for you, other than to keep posting on here, these people are fab and will help no end.

Has OH been trying to get another job or is he out of work through ill health? Might be worth taking any job just to try and get a bit of cash
Have you had a look on the bankruptcy board on here? There's lots of people in similar situations to you, it might be worth you posting on there to get some advice, bankruptcy might not be as scary as it might feel at the momentMoney doesn't make you happy so I'm skint but cheerful :beer:0 -

Ignore this! Particularly as they can't use grammar or capital letters to start sentences.
Back to the OP. Please don't feel like you are on your own. I can't offer too much advise but you will get support here. (hug)0 -

If you've been advised bankruptcy, maybe you should look into it a bit more. You say you dont want to be bankrupt, but it really isnt as shameful as it sounds, it maybe your best option.
