Right we have decided to cancel the casino and videographer which is £1700 saved :j

We are keeping the venue and using one of the tips suggested on the wedding tips sticking (finally finished reading it!!)

The wedding is in Dec so we are going to have mince pies and wedding cake around 4pm with hot chocolate/tea/coffee/soft drink which cost is around £300 max then when all the evening guests arrive at 6pm have a big buffet then which will cost us around £1200. So is £500 cheaper and is more the buffet we wanted in the first place. I do love this site. I have also borrowed a few other tips from that tread and have found an original of my dress I want for £250 I am just waiting to hear back from the lady to see if I can have it. Would be sooo nice if I could as I was going to have to get one from china otherwise to fit our budget.

Our colour scheme is blue and silver.

Please add me, we are getting married on 25.04.09, so far we have:

Booked and paid deposit for the Venue, Cake, Photographer.
Ordered and paid 50% for my dress.
Bought shoes from ebay 50% less than in Faith.
Bought Tiara and bangle from Swarvoski shop in the sale 75% off.

Trying to do a little each month, going to see a florist and someone about balloons the weekend to price that up.

I've been engaged for over a year, and I haven't officially set the date, but I do have a date in mind, I have nothing organised at all, I'm rubbish at organising these things. Luckily though, my sister in law is super organised so I have my own little wedding planner for free!! hehe

Hi everyone. I am getting married to Alec on 29/08/2009.

    So far I have:

    Chosen my bridesmaid
(they are getting their own outfits. They know the colour scheme and I trust them implicitly! All 7 of them!)

Booked the church and had our first visit from the Vicar.

Alec has his best man and usher sorted.

We have the venue here as we are doing the reception at home.

We are spending money on doing up the garden rather than paying for a venue. The new turf is down already!

I am collecting jam jars to hold either tealights or flowers. The girls are going to have a weekend here glass painting them for me. :D

I have started to collect rose petals from everyone and drying them for the confetti.

We have found rings we like but not bought them yet.

We have chosen the reading for the church and picked our witnesses.

I know there is so much more to do.

Being a member of freecycle has helped in saving money as we have gained garden furniture, material, fairy lights etc from there at no cost at all. :T

I am so excited about this wedding as I feel I have my soulmate and want the world to know. :o

Oh and he has offered to buy me a Wii if I promise never to watch weddings tv again! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
