Hi everyone
Im getting married on May 16th 09.
Ive saved loads of money on the expensive things like invites etc. I got mine from Confetti in London when I stumbled across it. I got 120 invites, with the stick in printed inserts for £40! They were reduced as end of line. I also got the place cards and thankyou cards to match.
Favours: Ive got black boxes from confetti and am pressing my own daisys to go on top to go with the theme, Im going to fill them with different 'sweet shop sweets'
Venue: we have hired a grade II listed village hall. £10 an hour!
Caterer: £1200 for sit down meal for 60
Buffet for evening: M and S delivered - £300
Dress: I love provovias - but they are expensive. I found a website bowbride that sells them for hundreds off. They are brand new and ordered for you, you will just need to find a seamstress to alter
Good luck everyone x0 -
Hello my bride to bes..
Unfortunatly i have awful news. Me & my other half are having terrible problems at the moment and i asked him to leave on saturday just gone. I doubt very much i will be getting married next year and would like to ask you girls if you would like someone to start a new thread or you would like me to keep running this one?
Hope you girls are ok xI'm getting married in August 2015:j0 -
Hi Moneysavingstudent.
I am so sorry to hear about your problems. Are you ok? feel free to PM me if you want to vent or just a chat.
I am happy to start a new thread if you can't face keeping this one going.
We are all here for us if you need it. x0 -
I'm so sorry to hear your news MS Student. For what it's worth, I think you have done a fabulous job on this thread. Although I've hardly posted on here, I do lurk to hear of all the new dates set.
I hope you get everything sorted ok. You both have some time to reflect on what has happened, and maybe it is the time that you need. I for one know how stessful planning a wedding is. I've still got 11 months to go, and already I can see how wedding planning can take over everything else.

Really sorry to read that, I hope you get things sorted for the best.
I don't think there's a need to start a new thread but could someone take over the running of this one if you (understandably) don't want to do it?Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

Sorry to hear the OP is having a rubbish time of it, I almost feel guilty asking to be added to the throng...November 18th 2009.
Have done nothing as yet apart from choose a venue and email to ask them about cost etc. Will sort finer details next year, once Xmas is out of the way!0 -
That's what we did milford... It's amazing how quick the time flies by though!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls...
