Good evening everyone,
:hello: Tru - lovely news for your friends, i hope all goes well for them x
:hello: Taplady and mrs mix
Dont feel like ive achieved much this week - i have sorted the top of my kitchen cupboards, im a 'horder' i have to have enough food in the house in case of emergencies, so yesterday i took advantage of a 1000 point code and got a Tesco delivery, where i stocked up on all sorts, so needed the space on top of the cupboards for all the extra pasta/flour/rice etc - ive also got extra soups and tinned toms (Tesco value chopped toms are excellent) plus washing powder and loo rolls. Tesco are also doing 2 6 pints for £3, so i bought extra and ive frozen it (washed out an old 6 pint and put half in so i dont have to defrost and use the milk to quickly) so apart from apples and bananas, im hoping i wont need to buy anything for a while.
Have had the 2 older girls here again today, but tomorrow i have a day off, which although i need the money, im really looking forward to just being with my 2 - no idea what we will do (if anything) but nice not to be rushing around making sure everyone is ok.
Thats about it from me - hope everyone has a lovely evening,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Thanks everyone for your kind wishes, and pms xxx I really do appreciate it, as I thought I was going bonkers last night and this morning:(
Went round to see Dad, who has admitted he's in more pain than he's said(like we didn't know it already!!)He wont even hear of Macmillan nurses yet though, and got quite stressed out about it.Mum is going with what he wants but she can't lift him and neither can II can't intervene and ring anyone as they'd both go ballistic, so i'm in a cleft stick situation really.
I will help as much as I can though:o
I have talked to some good friends today who are livid that i've been accused of over reacting, so I feel a bit calmer now:o
Thanks again and have great evenings everyone xx"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Hi all, We've had a good day just about got everything done that needs to be done, only woodwork needs to have Satinwood applied in kitch/bathroom. Carpet fitter at 8am Opp at 1pm. We have to shift some furniture for carpet man then home and shower ready for hosp. I made a chilli tonight for dinner tomorrow as I can't cook with one arm, or can I? I've defrosted some soup for DH so he can have an early lunch, have changed bedding, and put some chicken casserole in SC for Sat.
I have some cooked lamb (for Sunday) and a cottage pie in freezer for Mon. Hopefully I can start back OS on Tues.
Candygirl, I hope you have some-one to turn to, seems like you are carrying the burden on your own. (((((((( hugs)))))))
Shez, you sound like my DH
Smokey, PenPin, Mrs Mix, JackieO (still miss your posts) Lots of hugs x0 -
Just nipped back to say good luck Betheebee for tomorrow & (((candygirl))) as well.
Still not had time to pack for the weekend or decorate a t-shirt (forfeits if we're not wearing them when we meet the coach in the morning), so heading off to do shortly. Think of me in the mud & rain all weekend.....

Hiya :hello:
Big hugs to candygirl and your dad.
It's been a lovely sunny day here so DH has been working hard cutting the hedges in the garden and doing some other jobs too.
I popped out to go on some messages and suddenly found myself in Next. I then managed to spend £92 on some new clothes/sandals for myself, but it's ok as it was some of my birthday money.:D Tonight's plan is to go through my wardrobe and get rid of some of my old clothes that I haven't worn for a couple of years, as I tend to keep hold of everything.
DD1 has got one of her friends here for a sleepover tonight, so I'm hoping that they do eventually go to sleep. Tomorrow we're all going to see the new Indiana Jones movie. I love Harrison Ford and the films bring back fond memories of the show we saw at the Universal Studios in Florida.
I've also got a large pile of ironing so I'll try to fit that in tonight as well.
Have a good evening.:D0 -
Hi again
Have just read the thread.
CANDYGIRL hugs to you, it's so hard looking after your parents when they've always looked after you.
Betheebee good luck with your op tomorrow.
Hugs to anyone else especially, PenPin, Mrs Mix, Smokey and anyone else I've missed.
Off for a decaff tea and some knitting, hope it's drier tomorrow.
Sleep tight all

Evening :hello:
This is the first time I've really looked at today's thread, so I hope you'll forgive my lack of attention to detail
((((candygirl))))
Best of luck for your operation tomorrow, betheebee:I made a chilli tonight for dinner tomorrow as I can't cook with one arm, or can I?I once cooked Christmas dinner one-handed (including hand-creamed brandy butter) after I crashed my bike on Christmas morning and badly sprained my wrist. My useless hand was the left, and I'm right-handed, and it wasn't too difficult actually - though I did leave the washing-up for somebody else
I've been to my ballet class, though I did something to my knee yesterday at the gym and doing ballet jumps has made it worse  I doubt if it's anything serious, anyway. I registered with a new GP last week and have my new patient appointment tomorrow afternoon, so might mention it to the nurse while I'm there if it still hurts.
Stopped at Tesco on the way home and have bought 8 pints of milk as I was completely out, and they had their 2 x 4pts for £2 deal on... I normally buy organic (98p for 2 pints) but am not going to say no to something which works out at half the priceI don't normally get through more than 2-3 pints a week with ordinary use, and don't have a massive amount of freezer space, so next 2 batch-cooking exercises will be macaroni cheese and fish pie, and breakfast will be cereal all this week
Dishwasher is on, must do a load of laundry too (delicates) and can't be bothered to cook tonight, so need to dig something out of the freezer to bung in the microwave. Curry and rice seems an attractive idea.
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Hi Guys!
Its a bit late to post but thought I had better say hello:D
Thanks for all the lovely messages, they all mean a great deal to me. I have had several comments about the lovely flowers and my friends cant believe that people off the internet purchased them and sent them to me:rotfl: ...I am a very lucky person to have such great people as friends.
DD has been out with her friends today, so OH and I have had a quiet day. 2 loads of washing has been done and I even managed to sit out in the garden for a while drinking my coffee.
2 of my stitches in my mouth have come out today and its still quite sore. The stitches in my tummy should be coming out tomorrow as they were still quite sticky yesterday so the nurse said wait till friday and she will have another look.
My mum sent me my present today and its a huge Radley Holdall in a rich red/orange colour. Its big enough for a weekend bag, so thats good. She got it for £99 instead of the £275 on the label:eek:    ...she has also put the recipt in incase I dont like it......of course I like it:rotfl:
Anyway, I had better go.
Hugs to all
