Morning everyone
Came back from Scotland yesterday but didn't have time to post. My baby was 12 yesterday! She and her DBro had a fabulous time playing with the Wii she got for her birthday. They both had an amazing time at Xscape (well worth the visit) but my bank account took a serious hit.
Feeling very tired as we never have a decent night's sleep when we stay with my parents. My DDad can be up from 5.00 am and cannot be quiet. I do love him to bits though so I suffer in silence just like the :A I am.
Saw my nephew and his wife while we were up. They were both chatting easily and did talk about the baby but they both look very tired and drawn. It will take time, I know, but I am a bit worried about them now.
W**k today then I need to get the house tidied up a bit.
Betheebee hope the op goes well.
pen-pin managed to see your post of the flowers yesterday and they are lovely. Twink did suspect that your DD would lay claim to the teddy. I'm sure it has found a very good home in her bedroom.
(((hugs))) to all who need one and :j to all with something to celebrate.
Have a thrilling Thursday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Morning all,
don't seem to be catching up very much with the goings on the past few days, just skimming through at speed!
(((((hugs))))) to all those needing them, and birthday/anniversary wishes to anyone celebrating.
betheebee, that's good news about the op, and also means you don't have too much time to worry about it. As for everything else, you can only do what you can do - which I know isn't ideal. Sounds like you have managed a huge amount though.
Sorting out & packing for adventure weekend on the Isle of Wight today, we are off around 9am tomorrow & youngest DD now coming too which will be quite nice.
Will pop back later, have a good day all.Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -
Morning everyone
Lots of (((hugs))) to everyone who needs one. I havent been around much because I just havent had a minute and I havent felt I've much to contribute as I've had no kitchen for weeks and weeks.
DH and stepbro have been working so hard to get it finished and hopefully I will have a fully fitted kitchen at the end of today. Its then my turn to get the tilling done so I may go awol again. I'm over the moon with the new kitchen especially the cooker as I've been without a proper one since Boxing day.
I'm stuck at home for the forseeable future as DD started with Chickenpox yesterday. Shes not to bad but has afew spots in delicate places which must be so uncomfortable for her.
Plans for today are to get a couple of loads of washing done and attack the ironing basket. I also want to go to Aldi and get dd a new fleece character blanket for winter but I havent quiet worked out how I'm going to manage that. Dinner will be some sort of pot luck out of the freezer, I'm hoping that I will be able to do a meal plan once I've refilled my cupboards tomorrow.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Morning all
First load of washing is on the line, WM is on again, DW is also on & BM will go on later as I made a big pan of stoup for tea, serious belt tighening time has started again.
PC seems to be working ok after yesterdays shenninagans, it will definately be out of bounds to the next lodger. I hope I can get a lodger in September, I hope BIL has gone by then, but I'm not convinced he will be.
Today I'm being a lady wot lunches, I'm going to meet a friend as I do every holiday. She is heading for financial meltdown so we have lots to chat about. I also need to get to the bank & pay in the money I have for dog sitting, lets hope it becomes a regular thing.
Lol at Charlies Mum, you're living dangerously, good luck to Bethbee
Hugs to PP, Smokey, Jayward, Candy & Mrs Mix.
Happy Bday to Busygirl for yesterday.
Hugs Hester

Morning all - late again! I've just had to follow DH down to the mechanic's again to get the wheel nut thingy done that failed on the MOT; he's now gone off in my car and I have a thousand and one things to do!
SMOKY, PENPIN, JAYWARD and MRS MIX - (((hugs))) to you all.
BETH - thinking about you today. I'm so glad the ops are tomorrow - your condition sounds so painful, it will be great to get it sorted out. I know you'll be nervous but at least you don't have to wait any longer. Good luck to you - how long will you be in? You'll miss the knitting, obviously, but your health must come first.
MARTYN - how are you? You've gone quiet again!
The sun is shining after a misty start and it has the makings of a wonderful day - it's about time, too! Hope everyone else is getting the sun, too.
Well, I have skimmed through the thread at a rate of knots and really must go - I have so much to do I don't know what to do first! I know - I'll put the kettle on!
See ya!

Morning all.
I have to admit, I should be at work. But, the way things have been going recently I just couldn't bear it. My motivation is at zero, and I just can't see the point. Need to ring in shortly to say I'm ill, but need to decide what to say.. Any ideas? Not heavily in debt, but still trying to sort things out.

Morning all:)
Was up early again as haven't been sleeping for worrying about Dad.They have had to come home from the holiday cottage as he is in so much pain, but he wants to go back tomorrow!!!!   (it's only an hours drive but he was in agony on the journeys there and back!!)
I feel very alone with it all, as Mum is coping with the practical side very well, but is very pragmatic about the emotional side of things.I do have a brother, but he spends most of his time smoking pot, so he never speaks about Dad or visits him.If I text him he ignores it:):)
Anyway going round today, to try to persuade them to get Macmillan nurses in to give tips on lifting etc, as she could hardly get him out of the bath last night:(
Sorry it's all doom and gloom, I just feel very down, worried and alone at the moment:( Even my DD thinks i'm over reacting, but I know what he's facing:(
