Morning all.
I have to admit, I should be at work. But, the way things have been going recently I just couldn't bear it. My motivation is at zero, and I just can't see the point. Need to ring in shortly to say I'm ill, but need to decide what to say.. Any ideas?
upset tummy? i must admit i always blame my children (ie they are ill and need me home), i get 5 days per year paid per child, so that's 15 days in theory!!! but i only do one or two per year before anyone tells me off!!!
youngest two in nursery again today so eldest and i are tackling the downstairs today. the amount of polish on my bedroom furniture from her help yesterday was astounding, but i need to make the most of her wanting to help before she grows up and ignores me/shouts at me.
mr gin's stupid ferrets trashed their cage yesterday - blanket in litter tray, ladder knocked down, water bottle knocked off etc. i was out there in my dressing gown at 9 last night repairing it all. i hate them (they nip) but i wouldn't see an animal suffer.0 -
Called in - husband is ill now. I've been off with him before, so they know its always a possibility. I'll have to check my emails later on and deal with them, so I am going to be working a bit.. Plus, when I'm fine in the morning, its not as suspicious!
Ever since they told me whats happening with my job its like I've run out of motivation. I don't see what the job I'm going back into contributes to society, (tech support) and I don't enjoy the work anyway. My manager is on holiday at the moment, so I'm deputising for something that she's deputising anyway! It should really be done by people two levels above me.
So, instead, I'm going to get some baking done, lots of washing to do, and need to get some stuff listed on eBay.Not heavily in debt, but still trying to sort things out.

Good morning everyone!
Well I'd hesitate to say I enjoyed w**k last night, but I did have a fab time grabbing reduced plants - big hostas for 20p, fuscias 12p, lavender 10p - these being the same lavenders that are on sale for £3.99 in the garden centre! Got enough to do a lavender border, so I'm really pleased to see that the sun is shining again today! Had an early text from a friend to say the sun's here for a few days - like my own personal weather forecaster! Actually we were planning a day out with the kids in the park, but then the rains all set in, so must sort out blankets and food and hopefully we can go tomorrow.
Had coffee and brekkie in bed - again! Could get used to this! Girls are all up, plus neighbours ones seem to have joined us for the day again! Must make some more cakes and biscuits before they raid my cupboards, actually they could get on and do it for me, will keep them out of mischief! No idea what lunch will be, might get organised enough to do pasties, then again might not, might do some cheese on toast instead!
Want to whizz to Argos later and grab a new pasta machine, old one broke! Meant to be HM tagliatelle with chilli and garlic spring greens for dinner tonight, wonder if I could get the girls to make the pasta as well for me! Actually I like making pasta, it's quite relaxing, don't do it everyday just in case anyone wonders - though if prices keep going up it'll only be hm pasta here! Everytime I look something else seems to have gone up, it's getting depressing.
Not sure what else today holds, still need to get rid of all the extra/old clothes, seems like they breed overnight! dd1 is clearing out the office, it's being turned back into a bedroom, be quite nice once it's done, need to find a bed to go in there, must have a browse on freecycle.
Just a quick question, does anyone have any experience of a non paying tenant? If they do I'd be really grateful for any pm's about how you handled it.
Hope everyone has some sunshine today xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Morning everyone,
it`s nice and sunny here at the moment - hope it lasts, at least until i`m at w**k anyway:D
i`ve been in the kitchen since 7 which isn`t bad considering i was still up at 3am, i`m just eating my toast and then i`ll be back in there clearing up and washing the blender which i absolutely hate doing.
I`ve made 2 loaves of banana bread, sandwiches for w**k for both of us and the kidney bean pate for sandwiches tomorrow, it tastes really nice and it`s nice to have something different as sandwiches can get so sameish.
Metherer - hope you`re feeling better and a bit more upbeat soon
Candygirl - ((((HUGS)))) for you and your dad
Bethe - good luck with the op and the house
Catch up later guys
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -

Morning all:)
Was up early again as haven't been sleeping for worrying about Dad.They have had to come home from the holiday cottage as he is in so much pain, but he wants to go back tomorrow!!!!   (it's only an hours drive but he was in agony on the journeys there and back!!)
I feel very alone with it all, as Mum is coping with the practical side very well, but is very pragmatic about the emotional side of things.I do have a brother, but he spends most of his time smoking pot, so he never speaks about Dad or visits him.If I text him he ignores it:):)
Anyway going round today, to try to persuade them to get Macmillan nurses in to give tips on lifting etc, as she could hardly get him out of the bath last night:(
Sorry it's all doom and gloom, I just feel very down, worried and alone at the moment:( Even my DD thinks i'm over reacting, but I know what he's facing:(
HUGGLES to anyone else who needs them:o
ahhh, don't apologise, your dad is poorly and you will feel down, its natural to feel that way. My best friend's mum had cancer and the macmillian nurses were brilliant, just give them a ring, they will sort something out.
i don't think you are over reacting at all, you are just really worried which is understandable xxxx
sending you some positive thoughts through cyberspace xxxx'If you judge people, you have no time to love them'

Morning everyone!!
Been to Asda...and YES what happened yesterday, happened again today!!!
Picked up 2 pkts hollandaise (ticket said 2 for £1) - didnt come off at till, so queried it. Lady went and looked, came back "NO, there's nothing there about an offer" she said:rolleyes: - Why do they think that you are making these things up??She walked me over to the shelf, indeed no offer there - BUT I got mine on the wire stand near the fish counter - I showed her clearly the offer label. "Oh- the offer must have finished" - well clearly not:rolleyes: Plus I noticed there were 2 different prices for the same thing - 59p on the wire stand, and 65p on the main shelf....So just make sure you check ok.
What annoys me is the way they are adamant they are right and you are wrong and making it up, like you have nothing else better to do??:rotfl:
Maybe I should contact the Store Manager about their attitude - what do you think??
Anyway, DH is taking MIL to city airport today, she's off to Ireland for 2 wks - and will be seeing if any of the rellies has a donkey/pony that DD can ride on when we go in July!:rotfl:
Last nite I made butternut squash casserole - phew alot of veg, which was hard-going!! dont think DH & I will become veggies just yet!:rotfl: Tried some quinoa I had in the cupboard (which I got on some whim when watching Gillian McKeith one day - dont ask why!) when I cooked it - it looked like something off the bottom of a budgie cage!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
Think I may just stick to meat & 2 veg, instead of trying this creative stuff!:rotfl: :rotfl:
charliesmum - Aussie's mattress can't have seen THAT much action, otherwise it would have needed changing years ago!;):rotfl: who will you be shouting at Sir Alan to fire next btw??:rotfl:
anniebooklover - happy belated birthday to yr DD!
candygirl - Unfortunately sometimes us girls do become abit of an emotional sponge dont we?? xx
betheebee - Stop worrying about the house, yr health comes first!
mummysaver - Great buy those plants!
joannasmum - hugs for yr DD, mine haven't had the CPox yet! did wonder when DS had a temperature and I saw one spot the other day!
Celyn90 - Glad you liked your toy out of yr kinda egg! Mine always open theirs to find out they wanted what the other one got! think nanny is too scared to buy anymore now!:rotfl:

Bethebee Good luck with the Op!:T
Candygirl Love to you and your Dad.
Penpin ((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))
Glad those of you who looked agree about DD's dress! It is gorgeous isn't it?
She's just phoned, been to the fracture clinic, and yes she has been walking about on a fractured ankle for a week:eek:  In plaster at the mo, until they can find her a "boot" in her size. That's about six weeks off work then!
Got a friend coming for lunch. I've got salmon, jersey potatoes, braod beans and courgettes, with strawberries for dessert.
Won't be here tomorrow, I'm off the Wembley to see The Osmonds!:T :j :j
Have a good day all!I Believe in saving money!!!:T
A Bargain is only a bargain if you need it!0 -
