Does anyone have any ideas how to get rid of this? It is just around the edge on the rubber bit and looks really awful!0

I used this recently (got it from laundry aisle in Asda, cost a coupel of quid, I think). I only had a little bit of black mouldy-stuff on the seal, but I bought it because the washed laundry smelt stale if I didn't hang it up to dry immediately. It worked for me.

Hi all, does anyone have any ideas what I can do/use to get rid of the grot around my washing machine seal?
It has a bit of a build up of what looks like mildew. I am sure I read somewhere that I should run a cycle @ the highest temperature, but not sure if I need to put detergent or anything in it.
It has now started to streak my clothes - geim.
all help appreciated

will bleach not make the rubber deteriorate? Or do I just use a weak solution?Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task
