I get on quite well with Dr Beckmann washing machine cleaner, you can buy it from all supermarkets. Works well.0

I have never had an issue with mold in or on my machine because I have always made sure I leave the door wide open for a good few hours.
However, a couple of summers ago in the last house, I could smell an odor coming from my machine. Just a horrible fusty odor, so I ran a dessertspoon full of bleach in an empty machine on a hot wash. I kind of worked out that it's water anyway and any residue would be washed away. Put it on an extra rinse and it worked a treat, never had that again. As long as you wash the bleach off you won't have a problem, just make sure you don't do it too often.Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money
