This is a persistent problem which causes odour throughout the house. Has anyone else tackled it successfully? I'm wondering whether a cleaner like the Dettol one might work.0

I've got awful mould on mine and can't shift it, tried bleach etc. Have to be careful I don't rot the rubber. I actually think am going to have to bite the bullet and replace it.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Maybe try some bio washing powder or Vanish on a toothbrush? Give it a good scrub and be sure to always leave the door open a little to ventilate after washing.Normal people worry me.0

I use the anti-mould spray you can buy at household stores like Robert Dyas (I think Dettol do make one). If you use it infreuquently but regularly it stops the mould building up.0

I have coloured stains on mine that is unmoveable but it doesn't affect the washing so apart from wiping away the water after each wash I don't do anything. It might not look attractive but hey ho.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

Gosh, I've never had mould in a washing machine. Do you leave the door closed all the time even when empty?0

I was about to ask that abwsco! I've never had a mould problem, my mum has! (and she used one of those anti mould sprays for the bathroom/kitchen for it). My mum always shuts her washing machine door - I never do!0

As this thread has dropped down the board I've added it to the existing one on cleaning a washing machine seal to see if it will give you more ideas.
