popped into co-op for some squash and picked up x2 packs of their nice ham reduced to £1.50 each, now I know that if there is an offer on a reduced item the reduction will still go through if you but 2 (so long as the cashier isnt vigilant- which they usually are'nt, these packs of ham were 2 for £5 so 98p discount to come so I thought I would get both packs for £2 - bargain, but the girl was really not interested and put one through for £1.50 and the other for 15p and I got my discount so x2 packs of ham worth £5 for 67p. :j

Had my first shopping trip of the month and I made the most of what yellow stickered items I could that fit in with my meal plan....... Managed to spend £35.68, which isn't too bad considering it will last most of next week too for DH and I.

Ventured into a supermarket for the fist time in almost 3 weeks. Scary how much prices have jumped in that time. Minced turkey up by 30p from £1.33. It does seem as though its the basics which are being hit by the huge price increases. The ready meals don't seem to have changed at all.

50p at the butchers on 'dog' food for lunch tomorrow and dinner tomorrow night. 10 years back they would have been called soup bones but now they are sold as dog bones. Obviously for pampered pooches as my dog bones included 6 racks of lamb ribs.

A whopping £62.48 at Mr Ts but the trolley was bursting at the seams so I gues I can't complain too much. Tons of whoopsies, not that I bought any, it was mostly the finest / organic stuff and they still seemed very expensive.
Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.50

Mr T came today, along with a bill for £87.43. this means that I've spent over half my budget already  . In my defence, I have so many tins and packets stored under my bed, I swear it's floating above the floor. I also have all the ingredients I need to make meals to restock the freezer.

Spent £20 on nappies for both ds & dd as they were on special. DD only needs nappies at night, but I'm hoping she'll be stopping that in the summer, which will help reduce my bill.

Have to stay in tomorrow as I'm having a new elec meter fitted so at least it'll be an nsd.
Thanks to all the lovely people on here I have managed to cut my hours down to 2 days a week, allowing me to spend more time with my gorgeous Children. :j

    Evening everyone :hello:

Just had my MrT delivery. Total came to £111.15 but I had a £9 off voucher (found on here) and £9 off with promotional savings so total was £96.95.

Bloody packers had substituted Apricot Jam and gave me Robinsons Fruit and Barley instead!!! Dunno how I'm supposed to spread that on my toast? :rotfl: Sent that back so final total came to £95.82. Quite chufed really, should now only need F&V for the rest of the month :D

    Better go update my siggy...

Slow roasted chicken very successfully and allowed to cool.

Skimmed off fat, made stock, made chicken soup,2 drummers for packed lunches, chicken in gravy for some yorkies,3 ziploc bags of white meat, brown meat in tonites nasi goreng. All for 3.50 euro!!!

Cooked a cauli cheese, tray of roasties and 35 chocolate Twinks at the same time in this weeks menu planner. Also had another nasi goreng to freeze for next time.

Have done my watering, washing and hung out, spellings, washing up,twiddled with menu planner, done a survey and will now look at the freebies and comps.

Hi Mumzy...just a thought when my DS was 4 and still in nappies we were able to apply for them FREE. Might be worth asking your Health Visitor for more information on this. It has been a god send for us. He is now 5 but still in nappies as he has some learning delays but that doesn't make any difference to the application

Could be worth a try :D
May GC £350/ spent so far
