Right Can I join I in? I did try once but gave it up as a bad job!.

My june starts either tomorrow or Friday (DH gets paid last Friday of every month, but depending what gone out of my bank tomorrow I'll do it tomorrow rather than Friday.

Give me ago at £250 as I havent a clue really what I spend, I have ample in but, I think the enxt two months for us is going to be a 5 week month plus we have the car tax in July and the blinking MOT 8 days after:eek: so I'm seeing it as a way "stocking up" for incase we're short. There is me DH, DS9, DS4, and DD3 who can eat more than me:rolleyes: .

Anyway I think thats enough of my ramberling so if you let me in, here I go lol.

    QP.
    Grocery Challenge. £400. - £35.22 + £19.80 + £109.01 = £164.03
    Other spends (Clothes Luxuries etc)£11.97 + £1.19 + £7.36 + £69.00 + £38.50 + £5.50 + £23.00 +£2.00 = £158.52:shocked::sad:

    Hi Lizzieanne,

Have you tried your local farm shop if you have one? I get my dog food from mine and have to get a sensitive one (he's a Rottweiler/Alsatian 1yr old pup and wolfs anything he can, walls & skirting included, but can't eat regular dog food - don't figure eh!)
They sell loads of stuff cheaper than my vets and even cheaper than the online shops as I don't pay postage!

There is also a thread on last months GC regarding pet food, I will see if I can find it for you.

Hi have you ever thought of looking online to see if it is cheaper I looked into it thanks to someone on this forum and have ordered my cat food £5 cheaper (and I was already ordering online which was £5 cheaper than the vets!!! So a saving of £10 a bag:rotfl: ) they also do flea stuff and wormers The flea stuff the vet wanted to charge £31.95  and online it was £18.80 delivered:T I can't do links but have copied top line so you can find it Home » Forums > Home, Work & Play > MoneySaving in Marriages, Relationships & Families > Pets & Pet Care » Cheap and reliable online pet supplies

This will give you a list of links to look through and compare.

    Hi Denise,

Thanks for all the info - I will certainly look in my farm shop - I have been checking out other places as I'm out shopping, but so far I've drawn a blank. I think it's because it's a specific prescription diet - even the vets in the area don't actually keep it in stock, they order it in as required. My vets have 3 premises and my puss is the only animal on it! Trust him to be the 'special' one! :D

Goodness go away for one day and the June challenge is up and running!!

I am going to carry on with the may one until the 31st then join in here. My Budget will be £400 again for the 6 of us. After going way over budget this month i am hoping to be really frugal this month. I have some vouchers which i will put towards June's budget. I got a reply from PG tip's about the box of bust tea bags and they sent a £5 voucher:p . I have'nt done a menu plan because when i have in the past it never seems to work.

Anyway it's my birthday tomorrow and we usually have a takeaway or go out for a meal so i don't have to cook but with limited funds this month it looks like i'll be cooking this year:rolleyes: .

    Bye everyone

OK I was £16.48 over for May so I think I need to be more realistic this month and take into account we have visitors coming to stay every weekend in June! So the budget will have to go up to £150 (ouch) That's to include all the beers we'll be supplying to our visitors too, let's hope Mr T has some good bargains lined up.

    Good luck everyone!

    Hi all

Can you please put me down for £180.00 Mrs M.

I am hanging my head in shame a bit as some people are managing on half of this amount so I am going to try to bring it down to £150.00 maximum but will allow £180.00 so I don't go over budget (does any of that make any sense at all :rotfl: )

Just to say, I do still have quite a lot of tinned stuff in from May budget so I suppose not too bad after all, my month starts on 1st of June.

    Good luck everybody

Hi all. Spent way too much money in May and have several family birthdays in June, so I really need to cut down. Please put me down for £150 this month. I have a few £5 off vouchers for Mr M's so hopefully it will come in under budget. My month starts on Saturday. Good luck all.
