    Morning everyone,
i`ll update my sig with this weekends spends in a mo.
I went to MrM to use the £5 voucher and also to MrA for some of the offers, MrA are rubbish lately though, some of the offer shelves are stripped bare.

Thanks to whoever it was on the May thread posting about catfood, i`ll go back later this week when i`m on my way past for some of that.

I`m going to try extra hard this month as it`s a five week month for me and also because i`ve been well over budget for the last two months and it`s starting to eat away at me  i will do it this month!!

I got off to a good start yesterday, i was in the kitchen all day and i made 2 sundried tomato loaves - one in the oven with rosemary and one in the bm with basil, 2 loaves of banana bread, bounty bites, hobnobs and hm stuffing to freeze.
That little lot should keep us going for a while.
I`m changing this weeks meal plan a lot as the weather is so carp i don`t feel like making salad so some of the things that we have in the freezer will get used.

Yesterday we had oriental pork & noodles
and some of the other thing i`m thinking of doing are roast pork dinner (prob today) sausage mash & peas, shepherds pie & chilli & wedges. If the weather stays as rubbish as this next week then i`ll have to do a big rethink there as well.

    Good luck everyone!!

    Morning All, :D

    Merfe - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! :T :T :T :T

well my GC starts today as it's payday. already spent some of it yesterday, but that does include 48 loo rolls and a lot of burgers that were whoopsied.

Reading your targets, and spends, I realise I have much more to learn about 'wise' shopping!

A lot of you seem to buy bulk - where do you go to do this? 48 loo rolls? I assume thats not from MrT?

Please put me down for £200 for June. We're moving house at the end of the week, so it's going to be a bit of a mess, but I don't want to delay just for that. This is for a family of 2 adults, adult child, 2 toddlers.

I buy Mr t loo rolls but there cheapest ones, the ones that are on the side as soon as you go in, I used to buy charmin or the big name ones but cutting back so buy basic, basic toilet cleaner from Mr T also, it smells lovely and piney and is 29p whereas I used to buy the ones that were over £1 just because they were on the tele or because they were within eye level and never thought to look down, now I look down a lot and buy a lot of biscuits, noodles, pasta, rice etc from the lower level as well as flour etc:D saves a lot and it goes into my hol fund or buys something else much more exciting than food shopping;)

NSD for me today again otherwise will not make it to friday pay day, having said that I know that tomorrow MR S closes for a week for a refurb and was wondering to go there to see if there are any whoopsies because tomorrow they will be closed and will need to get rid of a lot of stuff:D if they want to then I am happy to accept it for pennies:rotfl: :rotfl:

    Morning all!

I'm still working on May's GC and will declare my total on Friday. I think for June's GC I'm going to stick with £20/week, then if there's anything left at the end it'll go into my pig (well, it's a donkey really :p ) to help towards Christmas or something.

So MrsM could you put me down for £80 please?

    Congratulations Merfe

    Good luck everyone!

  • Hi Cookinmummy, Lidl have an offer on charmin so i bought two packs of 24 rolls, £6.49 for 24 at the mo so cheaper than tesco's own ones.

Hi Mrs M, please put me in at £60 for June. I'm not sure I'll manage it as the freezer is almost empty, fridge and cupboards not far behind... But it's worth a go right? :D

Hello - did well in May but want to stick at £180 for June as OH is based at home this month, so the amount eaten in this house will go up!! This is for 2 adults and occasional stepkids with friends.
We still have a freezer full of home cooked food made by DD gilliana when she was staying here (ahem - where are you on the grocery budget gilliana??)
I'm going back to watering milk too. OH doesn't like it but I'll just hide it in the semi cartons.
    Congrats merfe!!

    Good morning

Please add me for £80 (eekk) and then (24 hs vouchers) this is for myself and 3 under 5's

ive aimed low as i have bursting cupboards (not as great as it sounds i only have 2 small cupboards) but from remebering what ive brought i have a good 2 weeks worth of meals in my cupboards and freezer so the first 2 weeks i shouldnt be spending more than 5-10 if i stick to buying the basics

good luck everyone, i just made it last month so aiming to make it this month as well
