Hi
Popped over to France this morning for a couple of hours. Brought my beers for the month, but to be honest with the exchange rate as it i, there is not a lot of saving to be had.
I get cheap travel anyway and the DD's were on a baker day so just popped over for the morning.
Hope you all have a great weekend. Off to work at 10:30pm as I am on 3 night shifts

Well spent £17 on the night out last night. So have updated signature. Will have to get a few things for a picnic at school. However, looking outside it is pooring so maybe not. Plus if its raining I don't go out unless I have to so that at least saves money. If it doesn't stop raining i'll be in budget.:rotfl:2025 Decluttering 10472⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just about at budget this month - maybe slightly over or under - lost count in the final few days. We have been eating from freezer a lot this month so that kept costs down. Were supposed to have friends to lunch last weekend but they couldn't make it so we ate the food yum yum. They are coming this weekend so I'll obviously have to buy in more, hence bowing out now. Well done evryone who made it and well done also to those who tried hard!
Next month is a funny month for us so I will have to have a big think!

Evening all
Well it the end of my month, yipee got paid and would like to declare £137.63 for June which is within budget. Pretty plaesed with that but, will have to keep this up.
I have been chatting to various people about the shopping increases. Normally i don't tell people about following this challenge as people can judge you for being mean ect, but so many of those people are now telling me that they have started to follow this web site and started cooking what we would call OS and keeping a better tally of what they are spending.
Well have a good month, is the new July thread up yet?

Hi curly cabbage, Pink-winged normally posts the new month's thread on the 28th of each month, so we can look forward to a shiny new thread then.
Can I declare my month at £231.03 please angelnikki?
a teeny, tiny bit over budget but I'm still pretty pleased with that. Am still thinking about my target for next month so will post that later.
Good luck everyone!0 -
Well DH has demanded a takeaway tonight - so we're having a set meal from our local Chinese (nice one, we also have what we call a sloppy one - nice food too, but different quality - this one has a restaurant & takeaway with same menus) It will do tonight and tomorrow for us though - so that's tomorrow's tea sorted too (was meant to be fajitas)
With this in mind I'm declaring at £542.96 for the month - which *is* under budget and has included some stocking up, two takeaways, all snacks eaten out, 2 lunches out and some kitchen stuff (silicone bakeware, normal bakeware, a frying pan & a new plate/ bowl/cup set for DS2)
next month's target is smaller, but a longer month, so we shall see!
Good luck to all

Hi everyone. i spent £84 last week in the caravan. and we eat out twice in the eves another £44 in total. i feel as though ill never get the hang of this.
today i came home, cuboards and freezer empty, i spent £94 the kitchen freezer is full but the grarage freezer is less than half full, not enough for five people for long thats for sure.
ive downgraded everything i can. look for reduced section - nothing today but i will try again next week.
i brought a chicken and now i need some advice. i normally roast it, hubby has breast, son has leg, daughter has other breast then the rest in a casserole for the baby. he spits most of it out. i am doing annabel karmel but he hates it.
hes now 11mnths old but with only 1 tooth so hes still eating finely mashed food.
what can i do with chicken for him. anyone got any ideas?0 -
