Hello all...I'd like to declare for June at around £103.50 (see signature for exact amount). Strictly speaking, my month ends on Monday (30th) but I've got next month's Asda delivery coming in tomorrow so that I get the weekend to do some batch cooking.

I'm £3-odd over budget and that's after using up a lot storecupboard stuff. I think next month will be quite hard but here's hoping.

Congratulations to all those who achieved budget and good luck for everyone for next month. I'd better be off to find the July thread.

    Hi all

Went to asda for a few 50p bargains this morning. Whilst there noticed they had bags of SP peppers(assorted colours) at silly price! 5 peppers per bag and only 20p.

Worth keeping an eye out!! HTH

    Hi all,
:j :j Yippee, it's over! I'm a free lady!!! :j :j - well not quite, but at least I don't have to be in work for 7.30am each day now!, although I must make sure that I stay motivated, as that's the worse thing about working for yourself, have to make sure I do something to keep it rolling in..
Still, really happy now, and a big thank you to MandyMoo, SFT, Dink, FelineFantastic, KaatLady and Anitaj, you are all lovely people, thank you for thinking of me. :lovethoug

Perrywinkle, I am so glad that you re-posted the banana and lemon drizzle cake. I mentioned it on here the other day and have made one myself, but I couldn't remember for the life of me who I had got the recipe off - it is absolutly mouthwateringly beautiful and I am so glad I can say thank you personally. :A

JayJay - good luck on all job fronts, and enjoy your wedding anniversary tomorrow - you sound like you deserve a great day, so make sure you have a little splurge on yourself too. :T

Annelouise - Thanks for rubbing it in - bits of rain on and off all day today - no sign of hot weather or beautiful blue waters anywhere here!

Nykmedia - I agree with you 100% - I'm going to make my meal plan out this weekend and will see what I can cook from scratch rather than getting already prepared, but must admit that since joining here, I pretty much do now anyway, although I am going to look at getting a boiled ham instead of pre-sliced now.
Really looking forward to your 2009 update too, although I would love to know it now - 3.3% inflation and they were shocked! I thought it would be about 12% myself

Newmoneysaver Thanks for the Asda update - I need some stuff before I order my veg box, so this is very, very handy.

I hope everyone has a great weekend, full of NSD's. I'm hoping to get to tiptree one day this weekend if the weather holds out, I think I might be asking for some help with what to do with some soft fruits quite soon.....

    Hi Herewegoagain :hello:

MrT's cranberry juice is 69p/ltr Try mysupermarket.co.uk to check and compare prices ;)

At the top right of the page near where the log out button is you will see where it says Search, if you click on that and then click on advanced search, you can search for all the old grocery challenge threads (make sure you select search titles only). They dont disappear at the end of the month - they just stop being sticky (stuck to the top of the list of threads) and the new one is made sticky instead. HTH

    Hi all.

Well been shopping for a few more bits today so total for July spent is £160.71. Next month I am going to say £150. £120 was a bit tight for us. Having said that, their is quite a bit in the cupboards now and I have bought another box of huggies nappies today at 1/3 off. I already have 1 unopened box so won't need to buy any in July and probably August too! Offer ends 29th June if anyone wants to go to Morrisons.
