Oooh thanks- will have a looksee in Lidl's tomorrow- do they sell yeast in there? Sorry more questions- where do you get live yeast? :o

No idea if Lidls sell dried yeast, tbh. But Messrs A, S, M & T all do! About 50p for 6-8 sachets - and, yes, there is a recipe on the sachet too, as jackk pointed out :-)

Fresh yeast - you need one of the big 4 smkts with an instore bakery - smile sweetly at the person behind the bakery bit and ask for some fresh yeast and more often than not you'll get a lump (depending on the individual store's policy) - enough for 3-4 loaves, usually. And for free too :money:

Evening everyone. Just spent £3.75 on lunch out today. As it was a huge plate full I won't be having any tea, so that will save a freezer meal. just off to make some egg mayonaise for lunch tomorrow have some eggs to use up. Have a good evening.

Also made another £45.00 on ebay today minus p&p.

As OH is in Red Sea I don't know if any of my Premium Bonds have won this month,I usually win £100 + every month so not knowing is really tweaking my doodahs.

Have 63.45 euros left till end of month, many meals frozen and I can be really frugal if need be.

Still wondering about potato sack - can I use potatoes that I leg get eyes and legs??????

    Evening all

    Anne louise.....

Stand the growbag up on end and about 1/4 fill with compost... stab a few holes in the sides, near the bottom for drainage
plonk the potatoes in the compost(shoots sticking up) 2-3 in a grow bag should be fine..cover with a bit of compost and roll the bag down and water
once the shoots are about 6" tall unroll the bag a bit and cover the shoots about half way up
leave to grow and when the shoots are about 6" tall..unroll more of the bag and throw on some compost to cover them half way again....you do this again..so 3 times in total then leave to grow..watering and unrolling the bag as the shoots get bigger -to stop the light ruining the potatoes..then you just keep watered (they need more water once flowering as this is when the potatoes swell)and depending on the kind of potato... once they have flowered and the flowers are dead...they should be ready to pick
hope that ramble makes sense :p

Course you can leave out shrooms, could try different veg too!

    Broccoli and Mushroom lasagne
    Rated 4 out of 5
    A tasty vegetarian layered lasagne.
    Ingredients
    12 sheets basics lasagne
    350g broccoli florets, sliced
    2 tablespoons oil
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 garlic cloves, crushed
    200g mushrooms, chopped
1 x 400g cans of chopped tomatoes with herbs
    white sauce made with 1 0z flour,1 0z butter,½ pt milk (hot)
    100g cheese, grated
    freshly ground black pepper
    Method
Preheat the oven to 180°C, 350°F, gas mark 5.
Cook the broccoli in boiling water for 3 minutes & then drain. Heat the oil in a frying pan, & fry the onion, garlic & mushrooms for 3 minutes. Add the tomatoes & simmer for 3 minutes more. Stir in the broccoli & season.
Put a thin layer of the vegetables in four small casserole dishes. Cover each with a lasagne sheet & then with some more vegetables. Top with a little sauce.
Repeat the layers, ending with a lasagne sheet, some sauce & the grated cheese.
    Bake for 30-35 minutes.
Allow the lasagne to cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Actually I add an extra tin of toms, extra veg and sauce, then cook it in one big dish for an extra 5-10 mins.I then have 2 portions to chill and eat or freeze.
