  • Forgot to add, i planted my babies out yesterday, some garlic and some lettuce leaves, and courgettes.

I may have to re plant my courgettes out in a different way as in a book they reccomend plenty of space and possibly grow bags..so am off to cheapo shops and market today to check on offers.

  • Just a quick update..

I am going to my neighbours funeral today, feel very sad about it especially as i have had a catch up with her daughter, who used to be my best friend at school..

On debt busting front have another £20 to add to the kitty from fleabay sales, so am going to list a few more later on.

Mealwise, yesterday, was i have to say rather good, as i made a pasta sauce with herbs etc, whoopsie plum toms and garlic cheese bread,( 6p whoopsie for the whole of it)...and it came to a total of 78p for evening meal, dinner bean soup was 30p, bread from hm loaf from day before about another 4p, fruit was 36p, milk 25p, breakfast porridge about 5p...total for meals was about £2...Not bad...and we had a few Hm biccies, so very cheap day.

Today i am putting in slow cooker, a pork strogannoff, with rice for tea..all low fat ..haven't syn valued it yet..
Reckon rice will be about 30p, pork is £2 diced from chops, onion and red pepper, about 20p... stock , flour and herbs about 3p.so £2.53, pud is a sugar free jelly 10p ( reduced stock sold off) I am hoping to have enough for 2 meals..but my lot love this so will have to go with it as i have a bit over from rest of week.

breakfast was weetabix,Milk 25p and hm toast...so in total about 20p today for that.. will work out the costings for rest later. so total spends £2.90 ish

Thankyou all. The funeral went really well, a lovely service and a moving poem read out by her granddaughter was read out at the graveside. I am glad i went now, as the family were appreciative of everyone turning up and it was nice to say goodbye properly.

There was also a buffet afterwards and a chance for a catch up. Bittersweet really as we had a lady on out table who was a friend of the eldest daughter, and she was crying a lot about missed opportunities..so i suppose that is a lesson in life for us all..to take the chance and make ourselves a happier life, keep in touch with friends and to get out there and just drink it all in.

I enjoyed the catching up and seeing my friends grown up children as well.

aww hugs for you bob...so sad when people die but sure she would be happy that it was a reminder to you of whats precious :)
Great re the food & great that Weezl has had suh a good impact! I seem to just rebel against myself & have enough food to feed an army! Some of it will go (too Weezl!!) as HM vanilla ice cream needs to make way for SW yog ice cream with malteesers!! Thankfully food mostly healthy so no need to chuck lots out but do need a bit of a sort! Taxi why not do SW with us? I really enjoyed it (much to my surprise!) and while it does cost I know that I need a wekly group as go dolally otherwise!
Ps also good news re not selling the books...didnt want you to regret it & its not sommat that you can get back is it eh?!
