  • It's funny you know - I was looking at the silly 'Likeness' thing on Facebook (where you do quick quizzes and it compares with your friends answers to tell you how alike you are) and I'm more like the DFW people I've got on there than the vast majority of my other friends. Then again I suppose we must have similarities to have got into debt and to want to get out of it!

The most accurate description I ever read of myself was a thing we got at Uni about being a perfectionist and what problems it can cause, e.g. putting off starting things because you're scared you won't do them 'perfectly' and then ending up not doing well at them because you've left them to the last minute - or as that link I put up earlier puts it - "perfectionist, can sabotage self"

Bob - we should never play each other at chess then! Me and OH thought it would be a good idea to play cos we both like it, very bad idea! :o

So.. this new job of yours in a sitcom about testing porno sites.... :rotfl:

I think it is weird you saying that, because i get a lot like that, i do a lot of self sabotaging, and am also know for having flashes of the good stuff as well:o
Chess wise i was a junior chess champion, and if anyone beats me they never let me forget it...of course it is very rare and i never pit myself against a master so odds on:cool:
It is a weird thing about debt, i never used to get into it at all and am still of the philosophy that i would rather sell my home than owe anyone a penny, yet i have lived all my married life with someone who has the attitude everyone is in debt:confused: true, and i am not judgemental about it, just very focussed on getting rid of it.(Jung would have a field day with this statement but i think true to my INFJ type:D )
Pania, gave me some good advice about leaving him to sort himself out and i think it is good advice, as i reckon that i have enabled him by pulling the rabbit out of the hat on too many occasions..lost count. No more, as they say i weirdly feel very little guilt about anything now..i will still over analyse, but am getting on with my own stuff.:o
Job wise i am hoping it will be an additional skill. I know it won't be all the time but should fit in nicely with other plans. I also plan to do some night school teaching and have duly sent off application forms.:D
AND i sold another book for total profit of £1.80 after postage, oo those turnips will be multiplying nicely.....:rotfl:

A lot of them say, lazy, fearful, frightened of change, don't draw attention to self, uncommunicative etc, etc

    and the favoured jobs?

    Teachers......what a hoot!:T

And in my yoof i have done quite a few of the others as in bartender etc.:D

Not managed the porno weBsite thingy yet, must look on the up your income board, or Hardup hesters blog!!! snort:rotfl: :rotfl:

Great news on the job. Well done!! Just had a brief peek at my personality desc & not sure on the comments - not because I dont like them but just didnt feel some of them reflected me!! Some did though! Not sure I'd be a good poet but a prone to being a bit reclusive - esp when I struggle with thinking things. A definate space monkey I am!!
Good that you are taking a step back with OH & the debt Bob...it must be hard though being with someone who doesent share the same fear as you with money! Well done on getting the extra dosh! Wondering whether to just ring bookshop & see if they want to buy bulk...seeing as I own my own book shop!!
