Seriously though, get a portfolio together, put some ads in the paper, approach local bakers and see if they can pass you some business. I mean, a plain square cake can be £40 odd, and that's without anything fancy!! I had thought about a market stall selling proper home-made ready meals, no rubbish in them, but waiting until DS goes to nursery and the kitchen's been redecorated for the inspection.

Just had a look at the entry form and it is £58, entry fee!! I will defo have to think about it as the sponsership i have to raise is £200, i don't think that will be a problem as i have a large family and i am not afraid to use them.
Have downloaded the form, and will see how well i do on the carboot tomorrow.
Right have tons to do so i am off, catch you all later.

May give it a try Obi. I get a bit whimpy about them, because they are for a special occasion...and i wouldn't want anything to go wrong. Your little venture sounds good too.

Well, stop being a wimp lol, it's a talent you have, so why not use it? People obviously like your akes, and as long as the client gives you a good enough brief you can't go wrong!

Morning Bob, great plans there for your walk, definitely a good idea to do something like the GNR. Is the £200 pledge if you enter on a charity place? You can enter just through the Great Running site and then still fundraise as you want.

Morning Bob hunny I would sponsor you ! PM or email me the details when available. So excited for you. I like walking, well short walks, very unfit and asthma & hayfever don't help. Walk my doggy every day, ok on the level but I live on the side of a hill doh !

You are really inspiring and both the walk and the north run sound like fun(not my kind as I'm lazy LOL).A portfolio of your cakes is a fantastic idea....Oberons ready meals are great idea also.Sorry to hear about DD2s condition will she grow out of it or is there any cure?

Her bowel condition is managed if that makes sense. To look at her she is normal, and you wouldn't guess...that's a very good thing. The diabetes is a positive thing as well, as she has never been so well, we have had a few probs as she is insulin dependent and blood sugars have been erratic, Appts at hospital have been a pain in the backside..but hey if its the price to pay, then i will always do a buy now option:rotfl: :rotfl:
