Those cakes are amazing and agree with everyone that you could go professional with it. And I would definitely charge your friend. You agreed to make and decorate one cake as a present, so it really is darned cheeky of them to suddenly ask you to do a 3 tier cake!

    Cat.x

Thanks very much and also for the add on? I was shocked when i saw your piccie, as you are the spitting image of another mate of mine also with the same first name:rotfl: :rotfl:

The said friends have now agreed to provide ingredients and pay for extras. They thought they were asking a bit much after they realised how much effort was put in. Phew:D :o I said i would still do the base cake, which is the largest and it takes nearly a whole bowl up with ingredients (washing bowl size) so i hope they will be pleased with it. The cake won't be ready until August, i always ice in the last couple of weeks. So will post piccies then.

Nope not doing another moonwalk, would rather stick pins in my eyes and have something sharp inserted!!! Still go walking but not to that extent, only did the moonwalk because my sisters were doing it and they thought I wouldn't do it, took me 8 hours.

Respect! I just don't have the physical energy to go walking at the mo - its an achievement to me if I manage a 20 min walk around the block. I *really* need to get fit.... Maybe I should look at doing the Race for Life next year... with the John O Groats - LandsEnd thing, you might look at having people join you for parts of it, thats what seems to happen on these things, it gets more local publicity, its safer, gets more sponsorship money, you could blog each night (or supporters could), and people like me could get fit! Sorry, the idea just took off in my head as I was typing...:rotfl:

What a great idea KC, the DFW keep fit walk.Joining in on bits would be like my very own DFW meet, except all i'll be spending is shoe leather, I hope.

I have been thinking about my charities if I went ahead. There is no doubt about Diabetes Uk, and a bowel awareness charity as well.

My DD2, has both conditions and is a wonderful eg about what can be done in life despite having problems. The bowel disease is Hirschsprungs disease, and has affected her from birth.

I would also like to raise a bit for cancer, which is why i want to practise walk on the Great Northern run, only i will be walking in that if i manage to get a place..only saw it on the link yesterday.

So those are my plans for this week amongst mowing the lawn etc. They are only thoughts at the moment, so don't go getting to excited.

Must practise turnip lobbing as well, very good for upper arm strength.

Cooo, that sounds great! Your poor DD2 - but I know kids can do amazing things, absolutely. Keeping on getting the garden back in order is my weekend exercise, same as you - I'd like to be able to reach some of the weeds I haven't touched yet, to avoid them dropping their seeds, but there's a bit too much jungle to get through yet. Still, I'll keep hoping. You never know, I might find a turnip!

    Go Bob, Go Bob!!

I think you should try and put together a portfolio of cakes, and see if you can make a few turnips that way.
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Good luck with that, mine looks like a right midden at the moment, i just haven't had time..as in working, coming on here (*cough*) and general stuff.
As Miggy El would say, if you found a turnip, it would be a turnip for the books!!
