I'm not part of the jogle thing unfortunately, but I do have a buzzword, or buzz acronym anyway... LGBT... lesbian gay bi and transgendered. I like that one!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I am up for a meet but would personally have misgivings about bike riding. I have a knee which although operated on ...every now and then sticks for want of a better word. It has caused me a lot of problems when i have driven long distances..so i know i would be unable to bike ride any distance of that kind. Walking is a different matter as i can rest it if it starts off...and sort it out..but if other folk want to go for the bicycle i say go ahead..but not for me.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Thanks Taxi, have been busy with it all morning..i have jobs with agencies but nowt permanent as they say. I also want to be a bit more forceful with them!If anyone remembers they used to send me to some awful places and refused to take it on board when i complained about the schools. so far other contacts have not come up with anything but then again, the schools only went back yesterday. And i have the new contact with medical side.
Yep El, i hadn't forgotten about your knee either, but some injuries are different than others..mine tends to play up if toes pointed and constant movement up and down..if that makes sense. So in a gym i am ok on excercise bikes for a while, can't do spin classes ( who would want to anyway!) Have problems on the stepper..but am fine on most of the other stuff..WIth driving it depends..if in a position for a while it will judder a big problem on the accelerator peddle or i get pins and needles in it...if i am in my own car ok, but in hubbys because positioning is difficult not ok. I used to go all over on my bike as well..so am particularly peeved off with it all.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

My thoughts are that it if it made such a difference, then the agency would do it for free as the profit the make every time you get a job is worth more than £170 + VAT.
Also, I think the Dragon has hit the nail on the head - credibility of your CV is more important than the content - with no credibility, the content is irrelevant. If it's *your* CV, then it has more credibility than a potato-stamp one.
Finally El, has come up with a very cunning plan. Sometime friends see the best parts of us, that somehow we miss. So it would be worth getting someone to talk over your CV as you're doing it and point out things you've missed.
Hi Z, i should have made this a bit clearer..it is someone linked to the agency who offered this not the agency themselves..But i put a complaint in anyway, you never know..and i would have appreciated any feedback from the agency as well. The comments at the time ( last August) were that it was very comprehensive and had all the things they were looking for..nothing else..so i assumed when i updated it that it was fine to keep in that format.
I think i am over obsessing on it and doing my usual indecisive bit..Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

you know thats quite strange when i drive i am usually ok but when i was driving back from bath etc it did hurt i put it down to the long distance ...things i find painful kneeling ...big no no ....rock climbing have had to give this up for a while ...infact anything that puts my knee at an angle for any length of time .....
sorry to hear you aint had much luck yet ..keep at them something will come up0 -
