It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Problem is if you throw a slug over the fence, you'll get a knock on the door 2 weeks later where he'll say "What did you do that for?"

I agree too Linda! A very touching moment there! But very true. With mine and DH's debt problems I don't know how I would have coped without finding out so many money saving ideas and just being able to chat to people in the same boat, not even necessarily about money...maybe just about how delicious Richard Armitage is - whatever cheers us up keeps us going!!

I'm fine thanks Bob, looking forward to the challenges ahead!! As I hope you are too! It's funny that sometimes that when faced with a particular situation, it can be relished as well as feared. Some aspects of money saving can be great fun I think!

So good luck with the boot sale and with ebay!

Sanity is another matter:rolleyes: ...I am an insomniac, so i suppose the fact that i can chat 24/7 if i have to is a bit of a life saver. Thanks smashed for that one.x

If i can help anyone I will, and i won't be doing any more mushy stuff(re marriage). Just chuffed he is now seeing the light. I love this site because it accomodates everything..near enough. Chuck a question out there, and everyone has an opinion, and helps to see stuff from all sides. Not a bad thing, i have had my eyes opened and have learned to see more than just my own perspective. Very helpful when i am doing a full blown impression of the mad !!!!! from hell on him. evil laugh at this point...Grabs anti psychotic tablets...:rotfl:

Enough about self now. How are you? Everything calmed down now? How is your son?

Thanks, i know what you mean..i get a weird kick out of free money, and saving!! Who'd have thought eh?

I like the thought that my mind can be occupied with other stuff, and also it is a very positive thing to have a goal, and something to aim for.

I read something today which struck a bit of a chord...have a plan for life, but don't rely on it too much...have had a mull over that one:D
