Good luck with that, especially with likes of Dr. EVIL, AKA Gordon, the Moron, and his sidekick Mini me..Bumbling Bush. Together, they crush the spirits of the inhabitants of the planet.

Meanwhile Emporer Ming, alias some french !!!!!! star dude, has begun a final crush on the European contingent....SO WHO DO WE NEED??

FLASH and El:rotfl: :rotfl: cue super dude music:T

We have had workers all around here, As council have been upgrading some houses. started at 7.30am this morning:mad: Our side is all private, but the council side, well they mow the grass at an ungodly hour, and are now dlogging up the cul de sac, with wheelie bins and vans:eek:

    Morning turnip fans :hello:

I've got a container veggie garden, potatoes, onions, garlic and some lettuce although that's currently subject to a major snail invasion  Love pottering about out there, really relaxing :)

Morning squizzer, i have a snail problem as well. Very evil i am with the salt. I have strawberries and toms. I have lots of seedlings growing for the hanging baskets, but never planted my veg ones..ran out of containers. I have been re jigging my garden to try and fit some crops in.

Obviously i have to grow my turnips now..but the trick is to supersize them. Wonders off to sneak some tips from greenfingered lot...

I need to find a snail cure - do you just put the salt round the edges of pots etc? I've been using it as a natural weedkiller on my paving stones so don't want to kill off plants with it

Also on a cul de sac which is now clogged up with trucks and chipping machines, I'm guessing I won't be popular round here today.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

RE the slugs, can you train hedgehogs to patrol the strawberry patch?
either that or pop little french flags all round them

What i do is try and put it on the trail where the snails go. It has worked quite well so far. I would try the beer trap one, but MR.BOB objects to good beer wastage. I don't like using pellets because of the birds. I have thought of trying crushed egg shells, but reckon that if they can crawl over gravel...a few egg shells will be a walk in the park.

On the paving stones i have used steam from my paper stripper, and hot water. Very good for the bloomin ants as well.

Sometimes i find them, snails that is.. and crush them, and leave them for a birdie tea time treat.
