Ebico has clear, concise and accurate prices and no gimmicks unlike the big 6 who act like a cartel.
It`s high time they were regulated and made to compete with each other.
When you get down to the nitty gritty I doubt if there`s much difference between any of them.
Why do they need twenty different tariffs, what`s wrong with one for gas and one for electricity the same as Ebico have.
Just been reading about the latest gimmick from B Gas.
They`ve just increased their "click 5" tariff by a massive 45% for gas,
you know the one that they said last month wouldn`t be affected by their 35% price hike.
But low and behold they`ve just brought out yet another "click" tariff called, wait for it, "click 6"
How imaginable, must have took a lot of thinking to come up with that.0 -

Ebico are no angels anymore, one of the big 6 cartels charges £110 less for average use electricity compared to ebico !! fair price, heh dont think so. As for the gas, theres is hardly anything in it now between ebico and the big 6, even for low users. At least the big 6 dont claim to be fair, ethical, not for profit etc.. as ebico does.... Even some key card / pre payment users are reporting its cheaper elsewhere, so much for ebico ethics.....
Ebico in some circumstances is now failing what it was designed for.0 -

Do you work for one of these providers?
You seem to have found a super deal with one of them so why don`t you just switch and stop posting nonsense every five minutes.
Switch to your great deal NOW.:beer:0 -

No i dont work for one of them.
No i am not posting nonsense, my statements are based upon factual calculations, and others that are reporting that even pre pay can get services cheaper elsewhere.
Yes i have switched the electric already, still looking at the gas, which ebico is only marginal £20 cheaper even for low useage with the big 6 cartels standard tariffs nevermind duel fuel, direct debit discounts, online tariffs, others are reporting similar findings.0 -
Just did a check on Energy Helpline, the best saving I could get would be £30 ish if I was to switch to British Gas Click 6.
So I'm staying with Ebico for the moment. Admittedly I'm a fairly low user 2000 Kwh Electric and 9200 Kwh gas per annum.
What I did to was to give SSE a call to increase my direct debit so I don't get a nasty shock next spring. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

You seem to have a big axe to grind for some reason, just face facts that yuor sweeping statement that Ebico is now no use for anyone including low users is inaccurate. Until you can provide some proof that Ebico are running at a profit and/or are charging differential prices depending on meter/payment type then they are still adhering to their 'ethical policy'. They never made any claims to be the cheapest, the fact they were for a time was a bonus.
Your £20 difference may be 'trifling' to you but thats your choice, others would rather have that money themselves, to me thats 5% of my annual bill. If you're prepared to overpay by 5% on everything then again thats your choice.0 -
Could any Ebico customer tell me how much their founder's yearly salary is, please? I have tried to find this info but can't for the life of me see any mention of it aywhere. Not trying to make a point (that will depend on the salary, lol) but I do think it's pertinent to the current debate on here.Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -

Public limited companies must disclose director's renumeration in their annual accounts, but I don't think this is a requirement for private limited companies. If you want to see if it's in there, you can obtain a copy of the accounts from companies house for just a quid."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
One director is a shrink, so if they are on the fiddle, job to hide it.

Just checked energy helpline for a friend in my street who is with N power,
on 5772kw gas per year or £339,
Ebico for gas is 36% cheaper, that in real money is £121 cheaper per year,
Southern Electric for gas is 26% cheaper, that in real money is £88 cheaper per year,
They still look like a good deal to me,
I double checked my electric tariff and Ebico are still the cheapest for me using 1512 units per year, british gas click 6 is £12 more expensive, I am still really happy with Ebico, I couldn't believe how complicated my nieghbours bill was, I didn't know where to start, at least with Ebico you pay one unit amount, and not loads of different unit prices.
I've just checked MSE's main site, and it says Ebico will increase prices tomorrow, 2/10/2008,
Gas by 31.8%,
Electric by 24.3%,
is this correct I haven't received a letter yet?.0
