(although their terms and conditions do allow them to should they decide to re-introduce this in the future - it was removed some time ago in line with their one price suits all policy)"Now to trolling as a concept. .... PS New Gas figure already on their site for calculation purposes - 3.77p per kwh. £716 per annum for me
I didn't have a bill to hand and thought that the 3.77p was the price pre 30% increase so I nearly fell even further. As it isn't it looks like bill goes from £300ish to £395 which still puts them as the cheapest, now just have to see how I compare to any of the dual tarriffs to see if it's worth switching0 -
The rises are no better or worse than all their rivals.
The big difference is their open, honest straight forward pricing.
Unlike the big six they don`t try to bamboozle everyone with DD`s,discounts, cashbacks and gimmickery.
I`m sticking with Ebico and I`m confident over the long term I`ll be with the cheapest supplier.0 -
Yes agree a good company.
Energyhelpline results about the same. Gain £3per annum if I move to Atlantic and £2 if to nPower..0 -

So, Ebico not the cheapest for you, Ken?Seriously, aren't you a REALLY low user, though?
Ps whilst I was being sarcastic, my opening sentence stands. Why aren't Ebico cheaper than those other 2 fatcat-strewn, capitalist-loving energy companies you quoted?Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
Ebico are a small player and have to buy gas and electricity from one of the big boys( Scottish and Southern Energy), so they are never going to be that much cheaper. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

That's the whole point, though. Good company and good ethics but totally hamstrung by not being able to buy their fuel on the wholesale market! So, even Ebico customers who use the company due to their ethical business stance in effect are still supporting what some cynics would call the Big 6 cartel.Call me Carmine....

New leccy figure (Yorkshire region) 14.07p per kwh £703 per annum on my 5000 kwh usage

I too am staying with ebico as I like their honesty and ethics. My new electricity price is, I think, the dearest in the uk ie 15.20p
I can`t really compare this year`s usage to last year as we have put more energy saving measures in place but based on the last full year our energy costs will increase by £188 pa. However the bills for the last 2 quarters were each under £96 so I reckon that gives us a lot of slack for the cold, dark months0 -
Can only suggest you all become very low users, perhaps difficult with families, but good training for the children none the less.
Playing musical chairs is all very well, but you will NOT beat the providers, they have whole departments devoted to working it out.
They probably have already in place a mechanism for maintaining their profit in the event of mild winters.
Do Ebico have shares ?0
