Unfortunately all your other posts, both prior & post, betray this assertion!
Anyone can easily do a search and see the number of negative posts you have made regarding the company. You even went and purchased their annual accounts from companies house in an attempt to uncover some dirt.
Unfortunately for you, as you discovered, there are no fat cats being fed at ebico.
I think you are now reverting to your childish behaviour of the other day when you got caught out badly on the UW thread and struck outPremier, this is a MONEYSAVING site, it's not therefore unusual that people will be looking for the best deal financially, be it a Nintendo Wii or their gas and electricity. I am often accused of being a UW distributor because I stand up againt the hypocrisy on that thread. I find that sort of accusation childish so won't be making any accusations about you and Ebico.
PS Like I said earlier, you really should get your hand in your sky rocket and buy those accounts for a quid before you carry on commenting on them. I would of course send you them but i think it's against the rules.
It doesn't take a genius to work out that Ebico's business model (though highly worthy) is deeply flawed as it relies on medium to high users paying over the odds to subsidise low users and those on pre-payment meters etc. Can you argue against this theory, I wonder? And, now that the letters have been sent and in these times of recession and credit crunches it will doubtless be the medium to high users who seek alternative suppliers. If that happens, again, it doesn't take a genius to work out that Ebico will have to raise prices, like they did this time, at a greater rate than almost any of the Big 6 did.Call me Carmine....

On this occasion, it is purely based on facts, as I pointed this fact out on many posts.
Ebico betrayed themselves / ethos, as even some very low users and customers who are on benefits etc.. did find ebico cheap and / or competative, but they do not find that now, and have moved to a big 6 company who are actually cheaper.
The ethos of ebico is to be fair and especially cater / be competative for the most unfortunate, which is clearly not the case anymore, as Ive said some of those users now find it cheaper elsewhere with a big 6 cartel for profit company. Those that still stay, particulary for the electric, ebico is only maybe £20 to £30 cheaper than a big 6 !! but in some cases is over £120 more !! to be with ebico.
Is that fair? Is that looking after the unfortunate? Is it even competative?
It is especially sad when such customers do now find it cheaper elsewhere.. as much as £120 !!0 -
Oh c0113tt3 has logged back in! How's Kirsty lately?
Btw, Ebico don't offer any discounts, whether a customer is on benefits or not. Never have & I suspect never will unless forced to by the regulators - their ethos is 1 price for all.
If you are another who doesn't think one price for all is fair, I'm not sure anyone is going to convince you otherwise."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Thank you 1carminestocky. I have taken my head out of the sand and am looking into changing from ebico for my electricity supply. BG click 6 is top of the list with scottish power next. Now to find some reviews before I take the plunge0

Will you be logging back in with this account?
Anyway, what's the worst case scenario? Lets assume that ebico only had PPM customers, and going by the assumption you posted here, http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=15590133&postcount=9
that ebico are buying at lower cost than SSE retail, then there would be no reason at all for their prices to be more than SSE retail.
Ebico have increased their customer base from 25000 to 40000 customers in the period 2005 to 2007 so they must be doing something right.
Btw, not all of ebico customers are on PPMs and believe it or not some of us are still getting a cracking deal compared to what is available elsewhere. As some other customers on here have posted, some are prepared to pay a small premium just to have the benefit of better customer service, even if you ignore the reasons preferring to pay a fairer tariff where every customer pays the same. Naturally on such a basis there has to be some losers to be some winners, but the loss to those generally better off losers could be significantly smaller than the gain to those less off, more vulnerable customers.
How do you think the major 6 finance their social tariffs? Could it be by re-distributing the income they receive from their more profitable, better off consumers? Hmmm...what was that about someone not liking to subsidise someone they know nothing about?

Their one price for all is fine for low users but no-one else!
Do you not think that one price for all is fair? Obviously to have that scenario there will be winners & losers, i.e. it will cost some people more than if they had differing prices - all that is explained on the ebico website & I have included it in this thread earlier as 1carminestocky seemed to think it was somehow being hidden, or glossed over."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

There's a link at the bottom of this post that can get you a tenner cashback if you switch to BG
(I'm not sure if any of the switching sites above support switching to BG Click 6)
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=15478951&postcount=3
Or you can get £31 switching a single fuel to SP using quidco"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Thanks premier. I have just finished switching electricity to BG click 6. I did it via quidco. Using my last quarter bill x4, I will save at least £69 pa and that was through a period of lesser electricity usage. Sad really as I do like the ethics and simplicity of ebico but thats life0

Well done kittie
I didn't realise quidco had increased their cashback to £10 (£20 for dual fuel) - it was peanuts last time I looked.
Edit: But I'm confused (nothing unusual there)
Last month you said you posted saying you used 40kWh per week of electricty
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=14940833&postcount=12
Using energyhelpline for South Wales region, that does show a saving of £64 based on an estimated 2080 units per year. As you may have used slightly more, I understand the £69 saving you actually got with more accurate figures.
But I don't follow how you originally thought you would save £140 with nPower. Based on 2080 units, the saving is showing as just £33 per year.
To get these savings both nPower & BG do require paperless billing and monthly payments by DD - so unfortunately you won't be able to pay quarterly on receipt of bills that you used to."Now to trolling as a concept. ....
