Hi,
Thankyou everyone! :j
I don't know what I'd do without this site! You have all helped so much!
I'm going to wait til I have the chocs and then think about how to present them... thanks paddingtondoo (might need to get back to you!)
Went to the reception venue last night to discuss prices, a little late I know. What is everyone paying per head? We suggested £25 not sure how they took that!
Thanks again.[0 -
We're paying about £26 for 3 course sit down meal and £13 for drinks to go with the meal and about £18 per head for the evening buffet...
There were more expensive options available but we found they got a bit pretentious as the price went up.... We're sunday roast people... We're having a Sunday roast meal....A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Hi Krystaltips,
How was the ice cream?
Thanks, maybe we are being a bit cheeky then? It is a local restaurant that doesn't normally open in the afternoon. They do Christmas meals for £18.90 for a 3 course so added a bit on for coffee etc.

If thier xmas meal is under £20 I don't see that £25 a head would be unreasonable unless you want to eat something really expensive.
Our meal is £30 per head with about another £12 for drinks which I didn't think was too bad. We are having bacon and sausage rolls in the evening at £6 plus extra for chips btu as we feed everyone twice we don't have to pay any room hire fees.Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

I have just printed off lots of to do lists from the confetti website - I have managed to tick a few things off which has made me feel a little better.
I think we might get some cakes/cheesecakes from the cheesecake shop instead of a traditional cake which should save some money! Plus taste gorgeous too hopefully.
Need to start thinking about the honeymoon too any tips gratefully received thinking of France and them Italy but needs to be fairly reasonable!
Thanks again

Hi
i am going to South France for my honeymoon in September, i got really cheap flights (i think) from ryanair - standstead to Toulon return £100 and thats for both of us, we plan to hire a car through Avis 12 days is roughly £230 which again is cheap compared to other companies we looked at then we will go to all the different places like St Tropez, Cannes, Nice, Monaco etc so we're not tied to one place.
hope this helps?Weight loss so far 1st 12 1/2 lbs:j

Hi,
Thankyou!
We did ask for cheap bucks fizz and maybe one other drink to be provided too!!:o
Thankyou for the prices for France too. I'm not too keen on flying so thought might go Eurotunnel or ferry and conquer my fear another time!! I have had a quick look and it doesn't seem too different to the cost of flying, I will check out the places as well. :T Are you booking hotels/B&B in advance? We thought maybe we ought to as we don't normally and tend to end up in some rather odd accomodation!
My OHs grandad also suggested not showing the champagne bottles. If you get a cheap alternative to champagne (bucksfiz which i thinks been mentioned somewhere, i think) and just give it out in the glass and dont tell anyone, the average wedding go'er wont notice! Just hide the bottles and keep your mouth shut
lol I'm getting married in August 2015:j0 -
