Hi,
I'm getting married at the end of July and still have loads to do. HELP!!
I'm trying to sort out favours at the moment and as we have a chocolate theme I thought chocolates would be nice but Thorntons seem so expensive and as we have about 100 guests I'm trying to cut the cost down.
Any places I should be looking? I was considering Cadbury's heroes or something and packaging them up (would this look cheap??) What could I put them in or anyone have any other bright ideas??
Lots more to do will be posting for more help soon!!

If you have access to Costco or have friends who have then there is a huge box there at the moment by Lily Obrien for very posh little chocolate cups - about 50 in each and they're about £10 I think... We had them served with the coffee but you could easily box a couple up and give them as favours!
Main thing is don't panic - favours were a big point for me and loads of guests forgot theirs so wouldn't worry too much in all honesty!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Hi,
Thankyou both for your replies I will check them both out!
I have just printed off lots of to do lists from the confetti website - I have managed to tick a few things off which has made me feel a little better.
I think we might get some cakes/cheesecakes from the cheesecake shop instead of a traditional cake which should save some money! Plus taste gorgeous too hopefully.
Need to start thinking about the honeymoon too any tips gratefully received thinking of France and them Italy but needs to be fairly reasonable!
Thanks again

I think the Heroes thing is a great idea, why not look out for special offers on boxes of chocolates? When I've been a guest I've really not been bothered about favours so I'm not too concerned about them for my own wedding.Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

Lidl do their own version of belgian chocolate seashells which you could split into bags of 2 or 3.
Not sure how much they are but they are regularly reduced at the checkout.
They also have bars of chocolate in there that are in individual squares rather than joined together. I think you get 18 squares for around 75p in 3 or 4 flavours. I like the milk one personally but haven't bought any for ages :AOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Just been thinking instead of having wedding favours why not hire a chocolate fountain and have a range of fruits and marshmallows ect just thinking it might be a bit cheaper

A chocolate fountain is really expensive to hire and messy!
You can definitely sort out favours for a lot less. How about jars of old fashioned sweets? You don't need to put them in bags or boxes, which would save a few quid, and guests could choose their own.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”
