Evening all.
Well, after my porridge SC fiasco I braved the device tonight and cooked chicken parmesan. It came out great - but next time I think I'll make my own tomato sauce rather than using a can of soup, too sweet for our tastes. DD guzzled it all, DS had a strop but I think it was more to do with him being tired than the fact that it wasn't meatballs. Yaay for the SC. It was good not having to worry about being back in at the exact time the food would be ready. I think it'll probably be more useful for us at the weekend rather than through the week. Thanks all you SC fans for convincing me to try it.
Also did a Costco run today - may blow the grocery budget, but a lot of the stuff will last us for ages. I suppose I could sit and calculate how much it's cost us for each month it lasts (that doesn't seem to have come out right, I hope you know what I mean.
Then took kids bowling. DD got a strike - and she's only 22 months! I'm 37 and I think I've only had one in my whole life. Sport is sooooo not my thing!
DH not well. He hasn't been all week really, stomach bothering him. He's in bed now. So I'm taking advantage, drinking wine, watching the woodlanders and finishing my bathroom curtain (oh and playing on the pooter as you can see)

Not got much done as we went to Liverpool university for the open day. DD very impressed with the place so had a nice time.
Dishes are in dishwasher and popped in here to say "hello" and to say I miss moggins and hope that she is o.k.
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

Think I'll invest in a stoner. Any advice where from, anyone? I'm making more today (double quantities this time, so 500 stones   )
I've tried two stoners, The first was a little metal thing that you can also use for stoning olives. It was OK, but still hard work. And then I bought this....

I know it's not cheap but MY GOD it got through the cherries so easily! And no hassle at all!

hello everyone.
Hope you've all had a good day.
Not been at all OS today. We went to Jimmy's Farm, for his open day. It was brilliant, but I do seem to have been relieved of a large amount of cash:rotfl: . The kids thoroughly enjoyed it and OH enjoyed the beer!
Watched Genaro Contraldo giving a cookery demo, sausage rissoto and chesnut gnocci. Did try to get hubby into the sausage eating contest but he didn't get drawn out of the hat.:rotfl:
I bought a smoked ham hock, some yummy sausages, and other bits and bobs, oh and his new book, which is lovely, with some good ideas and tips.
Have to work tomorrow til 2 so off to bed soon. OH is cooking sunday lunch, so there are some advantages to working sunday's.
Night night everyone:D0 -

Got confirmation today we got one of those Sun £9.50 holidays :T . However they wanted another £61 of us so I phoned and cancelled linen (we can take our own) and the entertainment passes (we never use the facilities) but I wonder how many other people would get "sucked" in and just pay for things they don't use/need?
Where are you off to with the Sun Hols ,we have had several and they are jolly good value .We went to Caister twice and the IoW and also Hastings .Caister was the best one of the lot .Hastings was a bit grotty ,the caravans were a bit worn-out to say the least. IoW was good but we went in the October half-term and it was freezing.3 adults and five kids in a caravan, it's a bit of a squash but we managed .0
