Morning chums,
bad night again,it must be rain on the way,my joints are better that the weather forecast.Still at the moment I am in front of myself.I have got all the ironing done and half of it put away. Bed changed, and dyson ed all of downstairs already. I have one of my grandsons coming this morning .He has his 11+ next January so he comes to my house on a Saturday morning to study for a couple of hours .He has a sister and three smaller brothers so it's peace and quiet he needs whilst doing his week-end homework.
Then this afternoon i am going to my sis-in-law for a chinwag and dinner tonight. Tomorrow I have to follow my SIL to Maidstone. They have bought a dining table and chairs from Ebay, and we need two cars to pick it all up. Their new extension starts on Monday so my DD is really looking forward to having a dining room. With 7 of them it has been a bit of a squash in one sitting/dining room. I have promised to store her dining room set for her until the extension is finished , so my house is going to be a bit crowded for a few weeks. Hopefully I shall go swimming tomorrow night and get some of the kinks out of my bones. Hope everyone has a great week-end and the rain holds off so you can get your washing dried
Cheers pals0 -
Oh dear. Dare I mention that I slept like a log last night? I only woke up at 9, apart from a brief interlude at 1/4 to 7 when OH went to work.
It seems to be a lovely day, I'm sat here with my first :coffee: of the day deciding what to do for dinner. Last night I fancied a beef stifado, but it seems a bit wintery now the sun is out. There's some duck in the freezer, so maybe we'll have that instead. I've got to go shoppingat some point anyway.
VickyA - enjoy the rugby. My "boys" got unceremoniousy dumped out of the play offs last week, so that's season over for them.
Only 5 weeks til Australia :j Seems like I've been going on about it for ever! Yesterday was payday, so that was another £700 into the fund. Only one more pay day to go.................
have a lovely day, I really must crack on & get dressed when I've finished.0 -

dare i mention that i had a whole 12 hours sleep.
must of needed i reckon after having worked hard all week to get work deadlines met, and then helping DH with his VAT return. We went for a meal out last night and watched one of the LOST episodes we had taped on Tuesday. DH had to go back out to work at 9:30, so i decided to just go to work.
So far this morning, i have fed the cats, put the WM on once (did 2 loads of washing when i got in yesterday.) I want to wash bedding today, but will have to wait for DH to get up. As he only got in it at 2am, he can have a bit longer.
We need to take a trip to the tip to get rid of the remainder of the stuff from the living room (old doors and carpet), i want to go and chase up the coffee table that was being replaced as it has been 3 weeks and nothing. Pick up some ba:D by monitors now our credit card reward vouchers have arrived. Also sort out the pile of baby gifts work got me yesterday, which were mostly clothes.
I can imagine that DH will want to paint the final coat on the radiator which he assures me will only take 10 minutes.
I think i'll be taking another look at the to do list and seeing what will take minimum effort and make the list look smaller.
I may even iron again today, as there are only 5 items on the pile :T
Have a nice day everyone. We have sunshine here so i am going to try and make the most of it.

 Hello OSer's everywhere
Lovely morning, sun shining, but it was ssssssssooooooooo cold last night......
Quiet day today, no real plans, just a do what you feel like day:
Thought I would post the recipe for the lemon drizzle cake for any one who is interested:
Pre-heat oven to 170c gas mark 4
Grease and line a 2lb loaf tin
6 ozs SR flour
level teasp of baking powder.
4 ozs butter or marg
2 eggs
6 ozs castor sugar
4 tablesp milk
grated lemon zest.
squeezed juice of a lemon.
Granulated sugar.
Whizz all the ingredients except the lemon juice and milk together for about 2 minutes, till light and fluffy. Add the milk if it seems a bit stiff a little at a time until dropping consistency.
Pour into the loaf tin and bake for 50 minutes in the oven, check after 50 minutes, depending on your oven it might need a little longer.
Push a skewer down into the cake whilst its hot to make holes and pour over the lemon juice, get as much juice as you can to go down the holes into the cake, then flood the top of the cake and quickly sprinkle the top with a layer of granulated suger, leave to cool.
Some times I take half the juice and pour it into the cake, the other half I mix with granulated sugar and warm it, it needs to be quite stiff, so lots of sugar not much juice, spread it over the top of the cake and it will set in a crust.
Hope you enjoy it..................
:T :T :T :TWas 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

morning all
Hugs to everyone:grouphug:
have only been up an hour, but didn't go to bed until 3.30 this morning the raging party animal I am :rotfl: No we went to a friends for poker and ot went on and on and on like a duracell bunny, but I came home £1.80 richer so I am not complaining, we usually play until all the chips have gone but I think 3 am is late enough so we split the rightful money to their new owners:D
I am sick and tired of hand washing , especially as it has been peeing down for 3 days and I have s*d all to wear and can't dry anything:mad:
never mind eh!
was planning to go shopping today for some new undies and clothes for the kids, but finding something to wear is a challange:rolleyes:
I have to laugh about it otherwise I would cry, which is good because 2 months ago I would be crying not laughing.
managed to get dds bedroom painted and her cabin bed up,:T now need to find her a desk and drawers to go underneath.
not much planned for today, trying to dry clothes, general tidy up, and read a few more chapters of the latest novel I am reading.
Hugs
