morning all :hello:
Well done Aussielass for starting the thread "early". :T I didn't like it when everyone was sort of creeping around, afraid to mention people or ask how certain people were doing. This seems more like the old thread. So, good on you.
mrsmix sorry you are having such a bad time at work. I must admit I was soooo happy to leave the office politics behind when I took redundancy years ago. I would never want to work in a "big" office again. Hope the next few weeks fly by for you.
I don't have a pink t-shirt. How can I show my appreciation for Pink?? (I have acne roseacea so my cheeks are pink, does that count?) :rotfl:
Hope you all have a wonderful OS day."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Slept like a log again last night but I am waking up so tired, must be the weather (or me age:D )
Need to have a good clean up in here later, dog hair on laminate flooring gets everywhere, just when you think it's clean you find a pile of dog hair thats blown under the sofa:rolleyes:
Went to asda yesterday, they had a load of joints going cheap but I had no room in my freezer:rolleyes: I really want a small chest freezer for all these bargains.
I will be making fish pie later on, thanks for all your ideas on them I will let you know what it comes out like. Watched 'you are what you eat' last night which has inspired me to be a bit more healthier:D but jeeezzzz that Gillian McKeith doesnt look a picture of health herself she looks drawn and old:o
Righ I'm waffling now and the kettle has just boiled.
Have a fan dabby dozy day everyone:j
Hope evveryone is well xx0 -
Morning everyone:hello:
Thought I'd catch up while it was still early, but I haven't time to read everything in detail.
Today's the day my mum comes and we spend the day shopping -not very OS but what the hec. Think we'll go to Waitrose in Malvern. I want to stock up on some ingredients that will help me in my weight loss. Think I'm going to try a Mediterranean style diet/way of eating and try and stop making pies and dumplings. It's going to be a challenge because I don't want to buy out of season veg through the autumn and winter, so I'm going to have to think of clever ways of using local produce in a non-traditional way IYSWIM
Catch up later:)0 -
Can I just say you lot are fab:T :T :T :T :T :T
feels like 'normal' today!:j :j :j
I bought STARCLEN yesterday because I have read about it on here and the kind lady in the post office ordered it especially for me as she orderes me my stardrops:T But I have no idea what to clean with it
I had to buy it because she had been so kind
What can and can't I clean with it?0 -
Hello to ALL OSers, whatever day it is!!Jo138 wrote:Would it be worth my while to buy a slow cooker? Bear in mind I'm vegan. I'd only use it in summertime as I have a Rayburn alight during the winter.
Advice please!
Hi, Jo, another Rayburn owner :T Mine's gas, and much needed in our kitchen, where in the winter months it's kept on a low heat continuously. It's then fab for long slow cooking of pasta sauce, stock, roasts. I even cook my pasta in there (15mins, and all the steam goes up the chimney). Is yours alight, yet? Have to say I'm on the lookout for a slowcooker for the warmer months, after reading this forum.
Must say hi to Pink Winged and Gingham Ribbon! You guys do a fantastic jon on this forum. Please don't neglect your homelives, because we're temporarily turned into a rabbleFrom now on, I hope we can all behave ourselves like adults.
And Gingham, hope you feel better soon, hun :j
Pink-Winged wrote:Speaking of t shirts..........I really really really want one of these.
Me, to; me, too!
I have a rabbit in the fridge to casserole, some apples to ferment, buns to make for my children's weekends away, and FLC starts today in the bathroom. If I'm feeling brave a bit later, I may venture into DS's room, but I'll let you all know, so you can send out a search party if I'm never seen again
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Have a great day everyone,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Hi all. I was going to post this morning, but after reading only a few posts on the past few days daily threads I gather there's been a bit of 'aggro' shall we say? Can someone please point me in the direction of the thread that everyone is referring to so I can see what's been going on - in the interest of 'knowing what I should do', not keeping up with the gossip of course
.
In the meantime morning to all my buddies on here - missed you all while I've been at college (it is OS - holistic therapies date back 1000's of years)
Today I'm planning on having a quick tidy through, doing a bit of homework, setting the SC to go with a lamb & veg whatsit (ain't it great being able to get the SC going again!!!) and if I'm brave taking a nosey at my finances againyeurghhh - feel sick at the thought.
Oh, and of course reading what all the commotion has been about on here (there's a bit of space in my inbox if anyone would rather pm me)
Right, best crack on.... it's nearly half past and I've skipped my shower

Good morning all :hello:
Well, today's plan is very simple - tidying, tidying and more tidying. Not only do I need to do the bits that didn't get done yesterday, but everything else too as DH has the OT coming around tomorrow for an assesment of the house - I'll have about 10 minutes when I get back from the school run, so everything needs to be done today.
Thriftlady - could I be cheeky and ask for the cookie recipe you mentioned yesterday? It sounds like something that may work for eldest's packed lunches
