I was intending to get lots done today, but have gotten a little sidetracked by the threads on here.
Hello wishingonastar:wave: eating ice cream at grandad's seems a good way to spend a day. Hope she's better soon and you get some sleep.
Hello earthmotherbtw hope you conquer you're laundry pile before a new one appears tomorrow - it just never stops when you've got 3 kids.
Hellosusiesaver too - it's hard to remeber everyone, but welcome all newbies.0 -
this is the first time I have posted on this thread so not sure exactly what to put but.......... today managed not to do housework but have managed to wash and dry on the line 3 loads. Watered my plants from my newly acquired water butts so as we are on a water meter that felt good. Tonight I am running a mothers taxi service to and from drama club and looking in on my Nana. For dinner we are having frittata, never made it before but I am making it with eggs ( of course ) onions, charlotte potatoes, bacon, tomatoes ( grown in my garden ) and frozen peas. All items from my cupboards and I am just off to put my bread maker on to make some Hm bread to go with it. Tonight I am going to try to make some more little hats to use up my bits of wool for Age Concern link to it here http://www.innocentdrinks.co.uk/supergran/

Welcome oops a daisy,
The hats are great and probably just about my size, I used to knit but ended up with several half finished garments.

To thriftmonster. Did you add the vinegar before the marrow softened? If so that will be why your marrow is taking so long. If not just ignore me:rotfl:“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Hello everyone,
Welcome to opps a daisy, wishingonastar, earthmother and suziesaver!!!!
Queenie - that honey and oat bar that came with your pedometer is delicious, i actually bought some all bran and honey to see if i could make some myself, but havnt tried yet!!!!!
Back home from school for a bit, but have to go back in about an hour, as its parents evening!!!! Forgot about it this morning, but luckily ive remembered now.It only the 'meet the teacher' one, but as DD has the same teacher that DS had last year, its important for him to know she is a completely different child to her brother, and need to see DSs teacher to make sure he isnt talking as much as last year!!!!
Luckily, i took some HM spag bol out of the freezer (along with a blackberry crumble i made a few weeks ago, after we went blackberrying!!!) so i wont have much cooking to do when we get back.
Also had a phone call from OFSTED, the lady is now better, and back at work, so she will be coming on Friday!!!! They arnt meant to tell you the day, but after ive been messed about a bit by them, they have told me. Doesnt make much difference to me, im ready for the inspection, just want it over and done with now!!!
Right, better go, hope everyone has a lovely evening
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Hi wishingonastar and oopsadaisy :hello: Glad to see you are making a contribution here.
My DD and I are planning on planting some sprouted potatoes to see if we can grow some new potatoes for christmas. We may try growing some peppers too. I don't know how easy the peppers will grow on my windowsill but hey, what have I got to lose?
Tootles I hope you are reading this thread. Please come back. You have a valuable contribution to make. I don't think I have ever posted three times in one day, but I just feel the need to do it for some reason today."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
