Hello everyone.
I was intending to get lots done today, but have gotten a little sidetracked by the threads on here.
Still inbetween reads I have done some washing and cleaned the bathroom. The beds still need making, but I guess we can just do that when we go to bed tonight:o
I am going to get a pie out of the freezer for dinner (was beef in beer casserole, turned the leftovers into steak and ale pie;) ) and will have that with some spuds and runner beans from the garden.
To thriftmonster. Did you add the vinegar before the marrow softened? If so that will be why your marrow is taking so long. If not just ignore me:rotfl:
Hugs and kisses to all

:hello: Welcome
If you can whip up a pizza base, make into calzones and use the spag bol as the filling.(Basically, break the dough into large roll sized balls, flatten them out into rounds, slap a dollop of the spag bol in the center, fold over like a cornish pasty and bake for approx 12 - 15min in the oven)
Update: finally have today's mail and the pedometer I mentioned in my earlier post on here has arrived :j Dilema #1: it's arrived with 75 steps already on it, do I cheat? Dilema #2: it's arrived with an All Bran Honey & Oat High Fibre Bar ... my diet began today, do I cheat???? Use by date: 18/03/07 Patience/temptation use by date: Now!
I'm more pleased with the padded envelope ... I can re use that nearer Christmas time:rotfl:

Had tonsilistus a few years ago myself....took 3 days (and a host of different GPs) for the doctors to agree with me and give me some stuff to sort it out. I know what a sore throat is....and that was definately not it. Hope your daughter gets better soonBaby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.

Welcome wishingonastar,
I hope that's the first of many more posts.
I got a flylady email telling me to sort through all my magazines and fling them (I have a pile of Good Foods set aside to go through and cut out the recipes I want) so she has spurred me on to do this tonight while watching Corrie.

Hi again,
earthmother and susiesaver welcome. :hello:
I have just read the "other" thread about the Daily Thread (if that makes sense) so I suppose this post should contain something OS in it. As I have said on a couple of occasions, I am cooking my larder dry and it is going surprisingly well. I realised today that for the last 10 days or so we have eaten an extremely varied diet and I have also saved quite a bit of money. So, I plan to continue doing this until I have almost nothing in my cupboards and fridge/freezer. Then at least I can buy all the things I need and like rather than having all these weird and wonderful things I bought because they were on special offer (what DO you do with Palm Hearts?? :rotfl: :rotfl: )
Shez I can't remember what thread the "money mantra" was on but someone had said they were seriously short of cash and someone mentioned that by repeating a mantra they could draw the cash to them. It went something like "money is coming to me". I suppose you could always change it to suit your needs."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Afternoon all. Late post for me as I've been out all morning. :grouphug: to all as my mind has gone blank and I can't remember what I was going to reply to individuals
DD is currently in bed ill. She came home from school on Friday complaining she had a sore throat. Nothing all weekend except a cough & cold, then this morning she had golf-ball sized glands and was complaining that it hurt when she swallowed. Off to the doctors and the doctor said "Nothing in her ears, throat or chest. Probably a sinus infection so we'll give her some anitbiotics to be sure". If this is the case, DD gets sinus infections on a regular basis  So she's in bed, after eating her dinner and her first dose of medicine, having a sleep. I'll go and get her up at 3.15 and she can do some reading for me. Must remember to write an abscence note!
My plan for today was- Washing - Towels, bedding
- Clean through
- Top up shop (running low on bread and milk)
- Finish of the gardening.
- Top up shop & some extras
- WM - Bedding out on line, towels in
- Doctors
- Cemetry (DD wanted to know where about in the local cemetry my great-grandparents were buried after I found out last Thursday  Thankfully it's on route to/from the doctors)
- Computer
B: A banana - on the go
L : Lemon Curd sandwich
T: Sausage Casserole with mash (possibly turnip mash or maybe carrot & parsnip...still to be decided)
Off to make that hot chocolate. : :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
