  • Goodmorning all,

I've just had my beauty sleep and it's worked a treat. :rotfl:Only to come on here and find the thread has turned ugly with the mention of P**** Pads again. You know it upsets me. :D Rainy & windy day here again. I hope it dries up shortly as all the steel arrives next week. Plans for today are to find the missing folder and do some work on my spreadsheets, budget etc. Might make a cake of some sort as well.

Someone asked why I didn't spray the house for spiders. Lots of spiders here are friendly :D and are harmless. They eat the mosquito's. I don't like killing stuff like that as they have a part to play. I only do so when they look nasty. You can usually tell. I kill snakes though if I see them in the back yard cos if they bite the dog's it would kill them.

Well off to have a surf before I start my chores. Have agood night sleep everyone. Byeeeeeeeeeeee

Sorry - didn't mean to upset you. :o:p;)
There - will a nice big smile let you know I am sorry? :D
  • Well..................only just. :D All that stroking the P**** really pushed me over the edge. :p It's a wonder the thread wasn't locked. :D I was starting to get flushed even from this far away. :rotfl:

Whats this? Am I actually starting a daily thread? Morning to you all. I missed Tuesdays thread (my brain isn't functioning too well ATM) so if I say hello now I'll remember to read this thread through when I get in from the school run :rotfl:

Off to bed now that I've finished jobs and playing trivia quizzes on another forum

Have a good day all

    Morning girls

Day off work tomorrow as DS has a pre-starting-nursery visit from his school tomorrow. It's around 3pm so will try to get bits done upstairs that I've been putting off for waaaay to long. Was planning to do som deweeding in the garden betwen my veg, but I've just heard thunder and I really don't want to walk tonns of mud in the house tomorrow as we've finally gotten round to washing the floor. Ho hum, I'm sure the weeds can look after themselves another day

Tomorrow I'll make a curry for dinner with rubber chicken, chickpeas, curry powder, curry paste toms and left over basmati rice from tonight, and then make a cottage pie filling ready to cool down for the potato topping (ie to try and stop the potato sinking!)

  • Good morning nicki, lynzpower and Shortie! :hello:

I am still up as I have been working hard on a 10 minute presentation for my job interview tomorrow (in between watching Lost, Supernanny and loads of other cr*p :o:o on the tele!).

Its just about finished and I'm off to bed as I'm getting up at normal time tomorrow with the lark so I can get myself organised, iron my clothes and practice my presentation/do some reading before leaving about 1pm. My interview is at 3.30pm but its about 50 miles away - I know it won't take me 2 1/2 hours to drive 50 miles but I want to be early and I've never been to this town before. I really want this job so wish me all the luck in the world!

There won't be much O/S going on in my house tomorrow - OH has the boys over for the big game on tomorrow night and I'll be pooped after my interview - but unless I've had any good news by then, then I'll be doing another job application which needs to be done for Friday. Applying for jobs sure takes a lot of time and effort! I think we will probably both have soup our of the freezer for lunch tomorrow and maybe salmon for tea if I remember to take it out of the freezer.

We had shopping delivered today - first time ever! I only did it as I got a code for spending £35 at Asda. I wasn't very impressed - the driver was lovely but didn't give me the chance to decide if I wanted the substitutes or not - he just shoved them in a bag and I still need to go to the shops. We are having people over for dinner this week and I need certain things for my recipes! How come they have really bizarre stuff like ground nutmeg, but no yoghurt - my Asda is huge - surely that can't be true!

Anyway - I'm babbling! Hi to everyone who posts in the morning - have a good day all!

Good morning Nicki, Niccy, Shortie, Lynzpower and scottishspendaholic. Scottishpendaholic, best of luck with your interview. Remember to take nice deep breaths and to smile and look them in the eye. Hope it goes well.

Lynzpower - well done on deciding to give up the smokes. It's worth the effort, your lungs will be eternally grateful to you. I'm an ex-smoker (can you tell?) and while it is without a doubt difficult it is not in the least bit impossible!

Oh and I hear on the grapevine that it is a certain person's 22nd birthday today....
    XX HAPPY BIRTHDAY XX
    !!PURPLE PRINCESS!!

Have a fantastic day PP - I know you work a lot of hours, but I hope you can squeeze in a bit of **me special** time today too.

My day isn't going to be too exciting....if it's not raining in the morning proper (it's not quite 4.00 am yet, which is obviously still middle of the night!) I'll see about going blackberry hunting again. I've been caught out by the rain these past two days. I also want to take a trip to Tesco which is a fair distance away and pick up some job application forms. The Sainsbury job would be better as it's so close, but I'd be seeing (my future) ex-colleagues all the flipping time! Think I'd rather work somewhere where that's less likely to happen, even if it is a longer drive there. When I'm there I'll also pick up some cheapy stockings and some sugar so that I can make the blackberry jelly today!

Other things today will be to make a bit of a catch up with the flyladying. I've also got to post a few bits to my friend in England - I had bought a tshirt which isn't quite me...normally I'd return it, but I bought it in England and the shop doesn't exist over here. Ooo I am a bright one, huh! Should have tried it on!!

Not much else to report really, so see you all later!
