TEA BREAK I have children picking up mess in the front room.. it was a sty in there.. I am removing their boxes of toys to up the stairs and the sofa from the back room to the middle room.. it is a bit nearer the front door and out then..

Once they have finished the front room I am having them clear the back room while I vacuum upstairs... apparently nobody elses parents make them tidy up.. I said they are not teaching their children to look after themselves them.. lol

i was going to do so much in the house today!! but i opened the curtains to sunshine so have decided to spend my day off sorting the garden - i figure cleaning inside in the rain is much more do-able than weeding in the rain, so have decide to make the best of the weather and sort out outside!! i have spent 3 hours weeding the frount (3 binbags of weeds!!!!!) quick lunch break and back to the back garden! i feel quite good as i have been meaning to get round to this for ages but it always seems to rain on my day off!! the only house chore that will get done today is washing as it will line dry!!

    Anyone up for a HHC 3.15 - 3.45?

I've been out all morning and haven't done anything apart from some washing yet today.

I have a feeling af is due, I'm crabbit and my legs ache. And DS1's teacher pulled me up about his homework. Yes, I know he has it, Yes, I do ask himt o do it, then I tell him several times, then I physically sit him down to do it, then he is a little !!!!!! and I tell him it's his homework and he will get told off if it's not done. So it doesn't get done because instead fo being told off he is sent into the office to do it and has a nice gossip with the receptionists.

Been to asda, need to unpack it all though but I also need a list or nothing will get done.

I have been keeping up, honest!

    List.

    Unpack shopping
    Have :coffee: and some paracetamol
    Load TD
    Load WM
    Dishes
    Make spaggy bolly for dinner
    Hoover
Wipe down sofas and wet wipe
Try not to loose temper at kids when they suddenly decide they hate spaggy bolly
    Change beds
    S&S bathroom
    Mop floors

    Hi everyone,

About to start flying. My mission today is to sort out DD2's bedroom. I'll have a go at posting before and after pictures later. Have taken the before pictures already and moved the mountain of clothes, toys, etc. to the lounge whilst she's in bed so I can start sorting into piles.

Nicki - well done on getting your assignment finished.:T :T :T

GnB - My DD is 5 1/2 and she is only dry in the night if we get her up for a wee at 11.30pm ish. She goes into a really deep sleep and the odd occasion when she does wet before 11.30 she's not even realised she has. She was 4yrs 9 mths before we got to that stage. For a while we got her up at 11.30 and she would still wet after that too so we just kept her in nappies for a while longer (cheaper than pull-ups). In comparison her friend who is exactly the same age was dry from 7pm-7am at the age of 2 1/2!!! They're all different.

Michelle / Johanne - you're both doing brilliantly!!!!!! Its really hard having a newborn without adding in the no sleep factor. I just can't function properly without sleep (just ask DH!!) We introduced a formula or expressed breast milk bottle for the last feed (10.30pm/11pm) so that I could get to bed early, DH could get a bit more involved and because by that time I was so knackered my milk supply was low.

My friends mum who used to be a health visitor pointed out to me that years ago new mums concentrated on breast feeding and resting. Everyone had family that lived on the same street so mum, aunties, sister, etc would cook meals, clean and help look after older children so new mum could rest, as producing breast milk needs calories and rest!

Lil'me - congrats on your caravan purchase. We stay in IL's static which is fab but they used to have a tourer that we stayed in and its great that you can just pack up and go where you want.

Right - time is ticking on and I've not started and DD2 will be up in a bit.

Washing all dry, folded and put away. Cut the grass back and front and did the edges and swept up. It really looks like rain now. Probably when I'm going to work:(

Very quiet round here considering it's half term. When my children were small there were always loads of them playing on the green out the front. I quite like the peace, but it seems strange that there's no-one out there when I know there are children living in the houses round it. Perhaps they don't let them out to play nowadays.
