    Morning everyone.

Corr i feel rough this morning. I think we must be hitting the 4 week growth spurt as Sam was up feeding 3 times through the night when he normally does once, and then DS1 was up at 7am screaming for me, and then crying till nearly 9. I cracked at 9:30 and put barney on as i feel absolutely drained. Sam has fed another 2x since getting up, and i have elected to stay in PJs today as i figure if i get dressed i will put myself under pressure to do stuff.

All is thankfully quiet at the moment so i can relax a bit, but if Sam keeps it up with the feeding i think i may resort to a bottle of formula at some stage today. I remember getting like this with DS1, and you seem to end up in a never ending cycle.

So, no flying, just resting for me today to see if i can keep up with Sam.

Although, i will still need to sort both boys out all day, cook for DS1 x2, and peel some veg for our dinner.

If i could be faffed, i would also need to hoover the kitchen and living room again - this naff weather means the cats bring in all kind of nasty things in their long fur - i wonder if i can ignore it for today.

Anyway, i don't want to be too depressive, so going to leave you girls too it.
    Michelle, x

Morning all. We're having a lazy day and then the children want to go to the allotment this afternoon. We're treating ourselves to a pub tea as we've not been out as a family for ages. Tomorrow DH is taking the children to visit a friend in York - I can't go as i'm working! Two stone massages - i've got quite good at doing them one handed. I go to see the consultant on Monday who'll tell me when I can start using my thumb again. The good news is I can now feel it so i'm optimistic.

Ok, holiday homework and if they get sniffy with me they can do it on their own or get into trouble for not handing it in. I'm tough mum!:rotfl: xx

Hugs Michelle - I don't blame you having a pj day, like you say, hopefully it will stop you doing too much. It's scary how much milk they can get through at this age. Mind you, I look at my two little monsters and I almost, I said ALMOST, want them to be that age again! Hope you have a good day xx

know how u feel michelle.. sarah is 5 weeks today and a crank! Up for our usual night feeds of approx midnight 3am and 6am... but then she wanted feeding at 7am.. 8am... and 9am and has not allowed me to leave the room or her eyesight all morning without screaming the place down. She is currently lying across my arms which i have rested on the computer desk.. Even daddy cant settle her :(

Added problem is worse thing we did was follow health visitors advice and introduce a dummy to reduce cot death risk and stop her sucking her thumb. She was fine without but now less than a week on the minute it falls out her mouth shes screaming her little lungs out to have it back... and wont stop till she has it

I am exhausted and have terrible toothache and a face like a chipmunk still, a also have a sty on my eye and my first bout in about 2 years of exczema on my eyes too which i only ever get when im run down or stressed. :(

Can see it being "one of them days"..

Hi michelle - they beat me to it! I was just about to post saying cancel everything today, put your feet up, eat and drink a bit more than usual and just feed your lovely baby! You don't want to resort to using formula, as that will prevent your own milk supply increasing naturally. DS2 is just doing what he needs to do! And DS1 will not be caused lasting harm by a day of Barney DVD's. (You might...;))

johanne - huge hugs to you too! Have a very lazy day as well. Looking after a baby is a full time occupation in itself, and I know from your lists that you've actually been trying to do other stuff as well! My three did settle a lot more from six weeks, so hopefully little one will. None of mine would have a dummy, spat it out every time, but I had two thumbsuckers...

lil_me - Ooh - I want a picture of the caravan! How exciting! We used to have piles of old comics in ours, which were great to rediscover when we came back after the winter break (couldn't stay from the end of October till April), and toys which we kept only there, and not at home.

Pink Fairy - your GP is a star! I hope it all works out well for GF.

    kaz - hugs

mudbath - that's not being a carp mum - that's being a great mum. It's not good for children to think they can do anything, say anything they like - my definition of spoiling a child. Teachers will be very grateful to you too!! (I'd only add, make a huge fuss of him when he is nice and polite, just to reinforce the message!)

It's grey and murky here, and I really don't feel too motivated. I did shovel out the top layer in DD's room, as she's staying with a friend. I shall heave out her bedlinen in a minute as well. I'm not sure that I can find the floor yet to vacuum. I shall get DS1 and 2 to do their own room. Maybe. Okay, I'll try and get them to do it...First lot of washing already in, the rest of the towels.

I'm waiting for DD to call, as she will need picking up, and she wants to go shopping downtown. I want to go over and see mum, but I'm still sniffly - yes, I think pigpen's childern blew those germs down to Kent! Maybe I'll give into temptation, and go find something nice to wear and maybe pop into Boots too...I'd rather go down to the allotment, but it's going to be far too wet.

Yeah, 2 more of my items have bids on:D Fling, Fling,Fling - I will have space in my garage.

Washing pegged out but more than a few grey clouds out there. I must do the doc and shop run next but I really do not want to. Think the back garden may be too wet to mow today (well thats my excuse;) ) will see if it brightens later.

Best make a list or I will forget something.

Pigpen: teenagers? They don't care that you have worked your ar*se off all day, or are not feeling well and still went to work and cooked their tea and dropped them of at Guides and then dare to ask them to shift some of their stuff, "In a minute" is a phrase I hear often and/or rolling of the eyes and how she is the slave and has to do EVERYTHING hahahaha

She is 14.. say no more eh??
Have LO's bedding in the wash, (was wet, any advice welcome for dry nights).

Hugs to all that need them, kaz, mudbath, jamiedodger, pigpen and anyone else i've missed. Cant remember pigpen is the funeral today? Sorry my memory is terrible right now:o

The funeral is Monday.. 3pm so that got me out of it.. :D

    Dry nights...

my 7.5 year old wears pull-ups.. and out-pees them more often than not.

At the age of 7 1:10 is still not reliably dry on a night.. once or twice a week is about 'average' (mine has had 1 dry night in 8 months!!)

Don't restrict drinks as that confuses the body.. encourage weeing before bed and if necessary lift them and make sure they are awake and take them to the toilet.

If you can't be bothered.. and it really doesn't matter bung her in a nappy/pullup!!

After 4 years fighting it I put mine in a nappy.. she sleeps better and I have less washing.. win/win..

My philosophy on such things... whatever makes life easy for you!!
