Taurus, living in a tourist area has many downsides - mainly the tourists! :D

LOL I know this really - I am very close to the birthplace of the great and good William Shakespeare.... I live in a small town about 12 miles away and dread having to visit there in tourist season.......but I just so love Dorset :j

mumofjust two - hope you had a lovely birthday
Pigpen - I love peeling glue off! (Same with peeling skin after sunburn . . .)
lil-me - hope you pick up soon - I know the feeling
rach - thanks for posting those pics - they are just lovely :)

Didn't get any flying done yesterday - ended up at the hospital with MIL most of the afternoon and evening. She didn't want to get admitted - and she didint - but this morning says she wish she had. She's a woman you just can't help some times and it's very frustrating.

I got one assignment done this morning before breakfast, have two more to get done before tomorrow evening. They are taking top priority over everything else (then why am I on here  ) LOL

((hugs)) Denise, I know how frustrating some family members can be, can't do right for doing wrong is a word usually used.

Speaking of awkward/frustrating relatives - I think DPs Dad has finally lost his temper with DPs Grandma, he said when they got back this weekend 'She may aswell burn her passport because we're not taking her on holiday again'. It may seem an awful thing to say but she seemed to go completely out of her way to make the entire thing hell for them, they spent a lot of time and money every time making sure everythings perfect and she still ends up being a pain in the !!!!! This time they got a villa with everything, because she has difficulty with baths they got one with a bath, a shower over bath and a walk in shower room - she refused to use any of them for the entire holiday! YUK! Without being awful I think some things she deliberately causes issues with to draw attention to herself. Even her sister in law who is a wonderful lady (in her 80s now I think) was going round to see her twice a week, it's now down to once a fortnight as she just can't cope with her that often, of course Grandma makes no effort to go to visit her. Aunty's words were 'I've got enough of my own worries without listening to her's repeatedly every time I go round!' I think part of her problem and dependancy is because she was so dependant on her husband, when he suddenly passed away she didn't even know how to open the house and switch the alarm off, which to me was very scary. Her husband fixed anything before she even knew it'd broken, so she has to have everything done yesterday. She was so paranoid about a new gas fire she had she called Transco 8 times and even threw one brand new fire out (after being told it was safe) because she was sure it was poisoning her and got another? No telling her that they were the experts and it wasn't poisoning her. She now has 6 TVs in the house and I think sometimes she likes going to look at/buy new ones because it ends up being 7-8 trips round shops being chauffeured everywhere because she 'can't decide which she likes' if she just came out with - I'd like to have a wander around the shops and be driven there - it'd be less annoying than using a 'I need a new TV so you'll have to come with me to help'

Sorry rant over, can you tell she frustrates me a little? :o
One day I might be more organised...........

I've just been knocked awake by a policeman :eek: Our street looked like blooming Sunhill Police Station!! He asked me to check there was no-one in my yard so I did, told him there wasn't anyone there but nextdoors yard is majorly overgrown. He got the helicopter to check and found 2 heat sources :eek: We haven't got an alleygate key (I really think its time I got one!) so they had to come right through my house in their muddy boots with the two suspects :eek: The police dogs are still here in the area as I can hear them barking, and both ends of the road are cordened (sp?) off. I'm starting to think I need to move to a little house on an island thats about 100m in all directions somewhere way away from the mainland and everyone  :rotfl::rotfl:

I'm going back to bed. I just hope I can get back to sleep!!!

Nicki, I would find that rather exciting! (Once the initial shock of the policeman at the door was over and, of course, ignoring the mud). Do you know what they did? Were they young, old? Ooooh I'm such an ambulance chaser!

But, where are my manners? Good morning everybody.

Hugs to Jamie - will be thinking of you today and hope that everything goes as well as it can.

Lots of mist here this morning but I'm hoping it'll blow away (if not, Pigpen, can I borrow some of your brood to blow it away please?). Finished humping furniture about 9pm last night but I'm not sure of things at the moment. I may have to swap the armchair with the TV. I have two large fish tanks taking up quite a bit of space on one wall. I'm going to buy a table so that I can put one on top and one underneath so they are neatly stacked. Once I've done that, I'll have a better idea of whether or not to move swap the TV and armchair. I also need curtains (which I may have to end up making myself because the drop is not a standard one) and buy some long speaker wire so that the speaker can be rigged up in the kitchen. But, I have a suspicious nose this morning. I do hope it's just from the dust and NOT Pigpen's man flu or the cold my colleague struggled into work with yesterday. Time will tell...

    Good morning,

Hugs for today Jamiedodger, my thoughts are with you:A

Nicki, sounds like fun round your bit:rolleyes: I'm in the same camp as soappie,i'm so nosy, do you know what they did? The cynical side of me says they probably put their bin out on the wrong day, or didnt recycle properly;) You wouldnt expect the police to look for actual criminals, that would be far too dangerous.

Still feeling poo (still blaming Pigpen:rotfl: ), was reading the local paper yesterday and my friends death actually made news  Didnt think that kind of thing would make the papers? Maybe a slow news day.

Need to do my room, it is such a hovel right now!
