Morning all...urgh I'm so tired! I didn't get to bed until 1am as I decided to try and finish the painting in DD1's room and then I put the bunkbed together on my own! Have just got the skirting boards and door frame and a small bit on one side left to do, then I have to attempt to wallpaper the alcoves(could be interesting have never put up wall paper in my life!) I'll take some pics when I'm done.

As for flying, didn't get much more done yesterday but house is looking tidier downstairs anyway. Have sold DD2's toddler bed on ebay so hopefully they will come and pick that up soon.

Ok off to get another cuppa be BBL

    Morning All.

I did try and keep up with the thread

pigpen hugs for your news and those that need them and hey everyone else can have one too.
Did a little flying yesterday but DH said it was bank holiday monday so I shouldn't do it. (he didn't offer to do it though). Had a quick tidy of the living room as I feel it will take a battering this week as it is half term. Did manage to tidy up under the furniture so at least it doesn't look to bad, I think.

Went to Costco yesterday and bought some bits and pieces and some scrap-booking stuff for me :D Did some scrap-booking with DS last night. I was great fun and brilliant doing things with him on his own.
Have a Tesco order coming this evening (nice 100 points) and have bought some stuff so I can do a little more home made cooking. Problem is I like making cakes and stuff but then I can never resist temptation!

Good morning ladies and gentleman(wonder how long this one will last:rolleyes: )

Belated birthday wishes to Serena, hope you had a lovely day.

Actually managed some study last night, took my mind of everything which was nice. I did get stuck on part of a question though so thought i'd leave it til today, woke up at about 5.30 am with that jolt of 'i know how to do it' doh!!

Spent a lot of time on facebook yesterday looking at pictures, probably shouldnt as it upsets me, and if anyone is wondering why i'm suddenly a man on facebook that is a picture of my friend who passed away. Need to keep busy today, where's that list...

Had a mare over the weekend... we had to call Transco out because we smelt gas... and yep... we had a leak somewhere... luckily we rent... so the landlord got a guy out to us yesterday and it turns out some numpty had nailed the beading straight into a gas pipe:eek: anyways all sorted now... luckily I bought a slow cooker a couple of weeks ago as I had defrosted my chicken the night before!!! (thanks guys... wouldn't have a slow cooker if it hadn't have been for you :p )

    Morning

Another grey, dreary day here. I hate days like this especially when I am on hols from work  .

Living rooms havent been trashed yet so will prob tackle the kitchen before I take DD to the dentist for a couple of fillings at 11 o clock. She absolutely hates it because of a really bad experience having a tooth out when she was 4, so it will be a morning of controlled breathing and an afternoon treat of a round trip of 70 miles to get a Lush treat for her (and maybe me :D )

Havent managed to find out what happened to the old boy yesterday

Off to see if I can get anywhere near the bathroom for me shower, as niece seems to be in there at the min, and DS is no doubt waiting to get in as well and DD well she just doesnt usually bother, shes like a mucky little street kid :rotfl:

    Catch ya all later

    Have a good day

PS sounds like you had a really lucky escape there Scared and well done on your debt management :T
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

    morning everyone.

It is rather wet and miserable here this morning. I dragged both boys to drop DS1 at nursery, only for DH to follow me most of the way to go on a work visit. It annoyed me a bit as he could have just dropped DS1 off and saved me a job if he had said, as my sister is picking him up so i don't need the car seat back. MEN!! About as much forethought as ...... I can't think of a suitable example.

Well, i've eaten breakie now, so i think i had best make a start. I am not in the mood, but if i don't, then the state of the house will start to get me down and i can't have that.

soappie may the mess be small, the weather not too nasty, and the joy at the new improved bay window be long lived - sure it will be messy today, but it will be worth it, believe me. I've had similar done.

Right - see you all later

Thanks G&B - I think it was just stress. I felt a bit better after that first cup of tea and had an omelette sandwich for breakfast (I know, I know but it's what I fancied!) which is settling nicely.

And thanks Michelle - I'm hoping the dust won't be too bad but I can already feel brick dust up my nose!

The chaps turned up about 3/4 hour ago and have already got one layer of bricks off the bottom of the window and the old sashes are out. There's a lot of cutting noises going on at the moment...... the poor dog has had to go on her lead because the side gate etc. is open so they can take the rubble out and is currently sitting very grumpily at my feet with the handle of the lead firmly wrapped round my foot..

Hot buttered toast and a cup of tea - is there anything more satisfying just before bedtime (that doesn't involve an exchange of bodily fluids!)?

As far as I'm concerned I'd find the tea and toast far more satisfying than the alternative ;):rotfl::rotfl:It's far less boring.:rotfl:
